Our best NHL player props for Saturday, October 25
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Sidney Crosby anytime goalscorer
Saturday evening’s slate includes the Pittsburgh Penguins hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets. At 38 years old, Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby has yet to show any signs of slowing down offensively.
He leads the team with six goals in eight games this season, with five of those coming in the past four outings. Crosby will look to stay hot against Columbus, which may be the worst defensive team in the league.
This season, the Blue Jackets rank last, by a significant margin, in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60). They also struggle on special teams, ranking last in penalty kill percentage.

Prop #2: Justin Brazeau anytime goalscorer
Another Penguins skater to back in this contest is Justin Brazeau, who has gotten off to a strong start in his new home. Perhaps a change of scenery was what Brazeau needed to find his game, as he’s playing more minutes per game than ever before.
Brazeau has taken full advantage of the opportunity, scoring five goals through the first eight games. Only Crosby has scored more for Pittsburgh this season, and Brazeau is on pace to easily surpass his career highs in goals, assists and points.
He has benefited from skating on the second line alongside Evgeni Malkin and Anthony Mantha. Given the attention his linemates draw, Brazeau should continue to find open ice and surprise opposing defenses.

Prop #3: Adrian Kempe anytime goalscorer
Later in the evening, the Los Angeles Kings host the Nashville Predators. Like Columbus, Nashville has struggled in the defensive zone this season, ranking 23rd in xGA/60.
Goaltender Juuse Saros has had a few tough outings behind this inconsistent blue line. Saros has allowed three or more goals in three of his past four starts, posting a .880 save percentage (SV%) and 3.20 goals-against average (GAA) over that stretch.
That trend is good news for Los Angeles forward Adrian Kempe, who has scored in each of the past two games. One of those goals came on the power play, an area where he could thrive again, considering the Predators rank in the bottom half of the league in penalty minutes per game.
