The Montreal Canadiens welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning to Bell Centre tonight as they look to bounce back from a tough loss on Sunday.
Lane Hutson has been creating his fair share of chances lately, and my Lightning vs. Canadiens predictions and NHL picks expect him to be busy again.
Lightning vs Canadiens prediction
Lightning vs Canadiens Best bet: Lane Hutson Over 1.5 shots (-125)
Lane Hutson is developing into one of the best young players in the league, and it’s only Year 2 for him. The reigning Calder Trophy winner has scored five goals and tallied 17 assists so far this season. He’s also averaging 1.71 shots on goal per game.
The youngster has cashed the Over in shots in four of his last five appearances. Last time out, Hutson put five shots on net in a loss to the Blues. He’s generated even more opportunities at home this season, averaging 1.93 SOG.
He’s also cashed the Over in three straight appearances at home. I’ll take him to keep that run going.

Lightning vs Canadiens same-game parlay
Nick Suzuki is having a terrific campaign for the Habs. He’s scored eight goals and tallied 24 helpers, and that’s my focus here. Suzuki has logged an assist in seven of his last eight games and has 11 helpers in 15 home games this year.
Cole Caufield leads Montreal in goals with 16. In fact, he’s their only double-digit scorer, and the next-closest player is seven goals behind Caufield. He’s cooking. The American has found the back of the net in back-to-back games, and he's scored in three of his last six.
