The Winnipeg Jets have had a rough start to their road trip, losing both of the first two games. Tonight, they'll be playing the second half of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights against a New York Rangers team that is absolutely soaring.
Despite losing their last game in overtime, the Rangers have been hot in their last ten games going 8-0-2 in that span. New York's offense has been carrying the team lately and I’m not sure if the Jets will be able to keep up.

The Winnipeg Jets have not had the best of luck against Eastern Conference opponents lately, going 0-4 in their last four battles against those teams. They've only scored three goals in their last two games and are going up against a New York Rangers team that has exploded offensively.
David Rittich is most likely to get the start in goal for Winnipeg and while he hasn’t made a ton of starts this year, he enters this game with a 9-5-0 record with a .911 SV% and 2.49 GAA.
The Rangers are coming back from a West Coast Canadian road trip and they'll be very excited to be back in front of their home crowd. They've also acquired Tyler Motte, who was a big part of their playoff run last season, so he should bring a good spark to the lineup as well.
The Rangers' top three lines have been incredible in the last five games, getting contributions from all nine of these forwards. The power play has also been rolling, going 3-for-6 over the last two games.
Igor Shesterkin should be starting between the pipes and with the way this team is playing, I think they'll get their sixth straight win on home ice and do so in regulation.

The Jets were able to win the first meeting of the season, but they haven’t had the best of luck in recent history, going 1-4 in the last five against the Rangers.
In their last eight games, the Rangers have scored 37 goals, averaging 4.6 goals per game in that span. This offense is absolutely soaring right now.
The Rangers have been excellent on home ice as of late, winning their last five straight games at MSG. This season, the Rangers are skating to a 16-9-4 record at home while the Jets are 14-13-1 on the road. Home ice advantage will certainly be a factor for the Rangers.

The Rangers have been playing in some high-scoring games lately as the Over has hit in six of their last seven games. The Jets have essentially been the complete opposite as their last four straight games have all stayed Under.
