The Winnipeg Jets can punch their ticket to Round 2 with a win over the St. Louis Blues at the Enterprise Center.

Here are my top NHL picks to use in same-game parlays for tonight's pivotal Game 6 showdown between the Jets and Blues.

Today's best Jets vs Blues same-game parlay: May 2

Under 6.5

Connor Hellebuyck Over 21.5 saves

Justin Faulk Over 1.5 shots

Pick #1: Under 6.5

With Winnipeg Jets No. 1 center Mark Scheifele (undisclosed) out for Game 6, I’m expecting the club to adjust by settling into a defense-first style. After all, the Jets are also missing top-six winger Nikolaj Ehlers (foot).

Scheifele and Ehlers, respectively, ranked second in third in points for the Jets during the regular season, and both were also staples on the No. 1 power-play unit. Winnipeg also allowed the fewest goals per game (2.32) in front of Connor Hellebuyck’s league-high 48.87 goals saved above expected during the regular season.

Considering the Jets have allowed 3.8 goals per game this series and Hellebuyck has surrendered a postseason-high -7.66 GSAx, I’m anticipating defense being even more of a priority for Winnipeg in Game 6.

Pick #2: Connor Hellebuyck Over 21.5 saves

While this is a Hellebuyck prop, it’s the St. Louis Blues who need to do the heavy lifting. The Blues have averaged the fewest shots per game (22.0) in the playoffs, and their 47.0 Corsi For percentage and 47.3% shot share at five-on-five is nothing to write home about.

Still, St. Louis averaged 26.0 shots with a 55.3% shot share at 5-on-5 in Games 3 and 4, so I’m expecting the Blues to put pucks on net early and often with their season on the line.

Returning to Hellebuyck, there’s statistical correction looming considering his unsustainably low .822 SV%, in addition to the highlighted gap in his postseason GSAx and regular-season mark.

Pick #3: Justin Faulk Over 1.5 shots

Blues defenseman Justin Faulk recorded two or more shots in four of five Round 1 games, and he’s seeing an average of 21:32 minutes per night (2:07 with the man advantage).

Faulk is playing an offensive role at five-on-five, with 65.7% of his faceoffs coming in the offensive zone. He’s also rarely matching up against the top Winnipeg scorers.

After recording just 19 shots in the Game 5 loss, St. Louis will place an emphasis on shots, so count on the Blues' veteran to do his part in the effort.
