Jets vs Blues Prediction, Picks & Best Bets for Tonight’s NHL Playoffs Game 6

The St. Louis Blues face elimination as they host the Winnipeg Jets in Game 6 on Friday. As Tony Satori explains, the Jets are ripe for the picking on the road, which is why this series has "Seven" written all over it.

The Winnipeg Jets look to close out the series against the St. Louis Blues as Game 6 gets underway at the Enterprise Center tonight.

Following Winnipeg’s 5-3 win in Game 5, my Jets vs. Blues predictions expect St. Louis to bounce back and force a Game 7.

Read on for my NHL picks for Friday, May 2.

Who will win Jets vs Blues Game 6?

There are multiple reasons to like the St. Louis Blues to extend this series. The Winnipeg Jets are facing injuries and goaltending concerns, both of which I will dive into below.

While the Winnipeg Jets won Game 5, they did not leave the contest unscathed. First-line center Mark Scheifele exited after multiple hard hits and did not return.

Head coach Scott Arniel has ruled Scheifele out, joining Nikolaj Ehlers as the second key forward who will miss this game for Winnipeg.

These injuries to the forward group could mean an easier outing for goaltender Jordan Binnington, who gets the start for the St. Louis Blues.

Dating back to the regular season, Binnington is 10-4-1 over his past 15 starts with a .909 save percentage and 2.26 goals-against average.

Speaking of goaltending, the Jets’ Connor Hellebuyck has once again started to regress come playoff time. He has allowed three or more goals in each of the past three games, posting a 1-2 record with a .774 save percentage and 5.51 goals-against average.

Over the past three years, Hellebuyck is 5-10 in the postseason with a .862 save percentage.

Finally, St. Louis has won both of its home games this postseason, with an average winning margin of 4.5 goals.

Blues moneyline

Jimmy Snuggerud to score

Rob Thomas Over 0.5 assist

A strong candidate to help the Blues' cause is rookie forward Jimmy Snuggerud, who has found the back of the net in two of the past four games.

He is a tremendous sniper who thrived at World Juniors in 2023 and 2024, once again proving he can perform on the big stage. If he scores, then playmaker Robert Thomas is likely to record an assist.

Thomas is the team’s top facilitator and skates alongside Snuggerud on both the first line and top power-play unit.
