The Washington Capitals continue their battle for a playoff spot as they host the Boston Bruins at Capital One Arena on Saturday.
Washington has won six of its last eight games in the NHL odds, while the Bruins have dropped three of their last four. The Caps went into Boston last month and prevailed 3-0, and will look to sweep the season series again tonight.

The Boston Bruins haven’t missed a beat this season despite both of their top centers from last season retiring. Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci left two big holes in the Bruins’ lineup, but they’ve had players step up down the middle.
One of those players is Pavel Zacha, who the Bruins picked up from the Devils in 2022. Zacha immediately made an impact for Boston with career highs in goals (21), assists (36), and points (57) in 82 games last season. He’s on that pace again this year, sporting 50 points (18 goals and 32 assists) in 70 games.
The Bruins’ top line is currently stacked with Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak — the Bruins’ two best players — flanking Zacha. The top-line center also gets time on the top power play line, further enhancing his odds of finding the scoresheet.
Zacha has recorded at least one point in two straight games and 10 of his last 12 contests. He’s also picked up an assist in two straight and eight of his last 10 games.
On the season, Zacha has a point in 40 of 70 games, and I expect the former first-round pick to strike against the Washington Capitals.

The Bruins are in a bit of a rut and it’s a tough spot with their third game in four nights on the road. The Capitals (20-11-5 at home) have been pesky all season long and I see no reason for that to change here.
