Blues vs Jets Prediction, Picks & Odds for Sunday’s NHL Playoffs Game 7

Coming off an emphatic Game 6 win and boasting the hotter goalie between the pipes, Tony Sartori is bullish on St. Louis pulling off the road upset in Winnipeg.

We have another Game 7 on Sunday, with the Winnipeg Jets hosting the St. Louis Blues at Canada Life Centre.

Following St. Louis’ 5-2 win in Game 6, my Blues vs. Jets predictions expect St. Louis to complete the series comeback.

Read on for my NHL picks for May 4.

Who will win Blues vs Jets Game 7?

St. Louis has won three of the past four games in this series, turning the momentum completely in its direction.

Below, I dive into my concerns with Winnipeg in Game 7, and why I believe an upset is looming.

My Blues vs Jets pick: Blues moneyline (+130 at BET99)

Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck takes the crease for the Winnipeg Jets in Game 7, and he has not done himself any favors in attempting to shed that “playoff choker” label.

Hellebuyck has allowed three or more goals in each of the past four games, posting a 1-3 record with a .776 SV% and 5.92 GAA. He has notoriously struggled in the postseason. Over the past three years, Hellebuyck is 5-11 in the postseason with a .858 SV%.

Meanwhile, goaltender Jordan Binnington starts across the ice for the St. Louis Blues. Dating back to the regular season, Binnington is 11-4-1 over his past 16 starts with a .910 SV% and 2.25 GAA — and his massive role in the Blues' 2019 Stanley Cup run proved he doesn't have any postseason jitters.

Another concern for the Jets in this matchup is that first-line center Mark Scheifele remains questionable with an injury. He missed Game 6, and his absence was felt in that contest.

The Blues possess the momentum, and given these additional variables, they are more likely to complete the series comeback than the +130 odds suggest.

Blues vs Jets same-game parlay (SGP)

Blues moneyline

Pavel Buchnevich anytime goalscorer

Robert Thomas Over 0.5 assists

I expect Pavel Buchnevich to lead the charge offensively for St. Louis, as the Russian forward recorded a hat trick in Game 3.

Robert Thomas should also play a prominent factor for the Blues, as he is the team’s top facilitator and skates alongside Buchnevich on both the first line and top power-play unit.

Thomas has recorded six assists over the past four games, with two of those helpers counting toward Buchenvich’s goals.
