The wrong team may be favored. New York +1.5 and Over 45.5 lead the early angles for Saints vs. Giants at MetLife Stadium.

Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET matchup at MetLife Stadium pits New York's pass rush against one of the league’s weakest pass-blocking units. My Saints vs. Giants predictions start with New York +1.5 against a New Orleans team missing two key players.

Here are my NFL picks for this Oct. 18 affair.

Early Saints vs Giants spread pick: Giants +1.5

Kalshi probability: 55%

Give me the New York Giants +1.5, down to a pick 'em, over the New Orleans Saints because the wrong team is favored.

New Orleans is missing LT Kelvin Banks and RB Travis Etienne, which hurts them in two ways. First, NOLA may struggle to exploit New York's biggest weakness: stopping the run. The Saints have rushed for fewer than 100 yards in four games, and RB Alvin Kamara looks washed.

Second, the Giants have a strength-on-weakness edge with their pass rush against New Orleans' pass protection. That matchup becomes even more important if the Saints can't stay ahead of schedule. They're 28th in early-down offensive EPA per play.

ESPN ranks New York fifth in pass-rush win rate, while New Orleans ranks 26th in pass-block win rate.

Early Saints vs Giants total pick: Over 45.5

Kalshi probability: 52%

I lean towards the Over 45.5, up to 46.5, because after his first start on a stormy Sunday in Week 3, New York QB Jameis Winston has been slinging it.

Over the last two weeks, Winston has thrown for 576 yards and six touchdown passes, while all five of NOLA's starting defensive backs have failing grades at PFF.

Also, New Orleans's offense plays at the fastest pace in the league, and I'm fading last week's result. The Saints got crushed 23-13 by the Minnesota Vikings, who have a top-five defense. But NOLA should get into the 20s, which will be enough to clear this total.

My prediction is Giants 27, Saints 21.
