Saturday of Week 2 of the NFL preseason features 11 games and tons of opportunities to find some valuable player props on Underdog Fantasy.

Here are my top three NFL picks for Week 2 of the preseason on August 16.

NFL preseason predictions and player props for today

  • Lions Allen higher than 85.5 passing yards
  • Colts Jones higher than 60.5 passing yards
  • Eagles Cooper higher than 26.5 receiving yards

Kyle Allen 85.5 passing yards: HIGHER (Play at Underdog)

It has been a solid preseason for Detroit Lions quarterback Kyle Allen thus far with 95 yards passing in the Hall of Fame game on half of football and 120 yards last week in just a little over a quarter of football.

Whether Allen starts or comes in after Hendon Hooker, he should see an entire half of quarterback. The Miami Dolphins struggle badly with secondary depth and will struggle to stop Allen regardless of which half he plays.

The Dolphins allowed 103 passing yards to Tyson Bagent in the first half last week and 121 combined second half passing yards to Case Keenum and Austin Reed.

Daniel Jones 60.5 passing yards: HIGHER (Play at Underdog)

This number is surprisingly low considering he is expected to play a full quarter and a half with the starting unit minus Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman. Last week, Daniel Jones played a similar length of time and threw for 144 yards.

Jones threw for that many yards despite going only 10/21 passing. He especially found good connections with Tyler Warren and Ashton Dulin. He will also get more time with Adonai Mitchell this go round.

The Packers gave up 104 yards passing in the first half last week to the New York Jets quarterbacks despite starting several starters. This time, they will be almost all backups.

Darius Cooper 26.5 receiving yards: HIGHER (Play at Underdog)

Darius Cooper has been a standout for the Philadelphia Eagles in both training camp and preseason thus far. Last week, he caught six passes on seven targets for 82 yards and a touchdown. That earned him some first team reps this week in practice.

The undrafted free agent rookie has climbed all the way up the depth chart to the second-string receiver behind AJ Brown. That puts him in line to see a lot of action on Saturday with Tanner McKee and many of the other second team offensive players.

Last week, the Cleveland Browns gave up 238 yards receiving to the Carolina Panthers and allowed four receivers to tally at least 25 yards. I love Cooper to continue to take advantage of his opportunity and put up another great performance.
