With the AFC South potentially hanging in the balance, the Jacksonville Jaguars head to Lucas Oil Stadium to face an Indianapolis Colts team that has been bleeding points at the worst possible time.

My Jaguars vs. Colts predictions expect Jacksonville’s offense to dictate terms early and never let up.

Read on for my NFL picks for Sunday, December 28.

Our best Jaguars vs Colts SGP for Week 17

The Jacksonville Jaguars' scoring in droves on Sunday is well supported by the evidence here. These teams met just three weeks ago, and Jacksonville carved up the Indianapolis Colts’ defense for 36 points, including 28 in the first half.

Since the Week 8 bye, the Jaguars have averaged 33.0 points per game, consistently clearing this number against playoff-caliber opponents.

Jacksonville’s offense has been exceptionally reliable, and with postseason positioning still in play, there’s little incentive for Jacksonville to take the foot off the gas.

Much of the Jags' efficiency traces back to Trevor Lawrence, who has been in complete control. Lawrence has thrown 12 touchdowns without an interception over his last four games, and Jacksonville has converted eight of its previous 11 red-zone trips into touchdowns.

Against a Colts defense that has allowed 48 and 36 points in two of its last three games, scoring opportunities should abound.

Jakobi Meyers has been a big part of Jacksonville’s offense since becoming more integrated into the offense since coming over in a trade with Vegas. He boasts nine red zone targets in his previous six games, including a touchdown against these Colts.

Finally, Brenton Strange targets a weakness Indianapolis has struggled to correct. The Colts have had issues defending tight ends underneath: Strange has 16 targets across his previous three games, and at least three receptions in four of his last five games.
