Early Cardinals vs Rams spread pick: Rams -12.5
As long as the Los Angeles Rams -12.5 don't go above -13.5, I'm down.
Their offense is at full strength, and Rams head coach Sean McVay owns the Arizona Cardinals. McVay is 15-4 against the spread vs. Arizona with a +6.6 spread differential.
Los Angeles's defense ranks third in quarterback pressure rate, per Pro.NFL, and the Cardinals are missing two starting offensive linemen.
After upsetting the Chargers in Week 1, the Cardinals have looked as bad as the preseason market expected. They've lost four straight, failed to cover three, and needed a fortunate backdoor in the other.
I'm not worried about the Rams overlooking Arizona. Los Angeles is in the toughest division in football and needs to keep pace with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.

Early Cardinals vs Rams total pick: Over 51.5
I can only lean toward the Over 51.5 up to 52.5 because I don't have much faith in Arizona's offense. Especially in this matchup. If Los Angeles enters the second half with a big lead, it might not keep its foot on the gas.
Yet the Rams scored 45 and 37 points in their two meetings with the Cardinals last season, and Arizona's defense is even worse this season. The Cardinals have given up 31+ points in four consecutive games and are allowing an NFL-worst 32.4 points per game.
Also, Los Angeles's offense is fifth in seconds per play and Arizona's is ninth.
My prediction is Rams 34, Cardinals 20.
