The Tampa Bay Buccaneers head to Charlotte in Week 16 to take on the Carolina Panthers, with both teams sitting at 7-7.
I’ve done my research to find the best Buccaneers vs. Panthers props, and I’ll include Baker Mayfield, Emeka Egbuka, and Rico Dowdle.

Buccaneers vs Panthers props
| Player | Pick | |
|---|---|---|
| Over 228.5 passing yards | -114 | |
| Over 3.5 receptions | +112 | |
| Under 58.5 rushing yards | -118 |

Prop bet #1: Baker Mayfield Over 228.5 passing yards
Baker Mayfield has found new life with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, resurrecting his career and establishing himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He’s thrown for 2,999 yards and 22 touchdowns against just seven interceptions this season.
While Mayfield has actually cashed the Under in passing yards in four of his last five games, he did throw for 277 yards last time out against the Atlanta Falcons, and we have to factor in that he’s facing his former team here.
Since the Panthers cut ties with Mayfield, he’s 4-0 against them, and he hit the Over in passing yards in a win over Carolina last season.
The Panthers are 17th in passing yards allowed, and this is a crucial game for the Bucs, who need Mayfield to step up. He’s also the type of player who thrives in a revenge-game environment.
Prop bet #2: Emeka Egbuka Over 3.5 receptions
Year 1 for Emeka Egbuka has been spectacular. The Ohio State product leads the Buccaneers in receptions (58) and receiving yards (870). He’s also first on the team in receiving touchdowns with six.
Egbuka is already shaping into a star, and his total is low enough here that the Over screams value.
Egbuka has cashed the Over in catches in four of his last six appearances, reeling in four grabs last weekend against the Atlanta Falcons. Egbuka is averaging 4.3 receptions on the road compared to 4.0 at home, and the Buccaneers are visiting the Panthers on Sunday.
Expect Mayfield to find Egbuka many times in Week 16.
Prop bet #3: Rico Dowdle Under 58.5 rushing yards
We’ll round things out with Carolina’s RB1, who has been struggling lately.
Rico Dowdle has hit the Under in rushing yards in five consecutive games, failing to surpass the 58-yard mark in each of those games. Dowdle ran for only 49 yards in Week 15.
While Dowdle has rushed for almost 100 yards per game at home, it’s hard for me to look at the Over and see any value due to his poor play right now. Plus, the Buccaneers have one of the best run defenses in the league, ranking ninth in rushing yards allowed.
Tampa will keep Dowdle under wraps.
