Baker Mayfield is questionable for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their Week 4 clash against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
While the Bucs Pro Bowl quarterback has the dreaded "questionable" designation, he is known for playing through pain and is expected to start on Sunday. Find out how that's affecting the NFL odds and what you should do in the event that Mayfield isn't able to suit up.
Latest Baker Mayfield Injury Status
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield surprisingly popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with a biceps injury on his right throwing arm. He's been seen wearing a sleeve on his arm and was limited in practice all week.
That said, head coach Todd Bowles said that Mayfield threw the ball more on Friday and "should be OK for Sunday."
Books are assuming that Mayfield will play since the line has stayed steady with the Bucs installed as 3.5-point home underdogs and total still sitting at 44.
Mayfield is known for playing through injuries and hasn't missed a game since 2022. However, he's clearly not 100% and with No. 1 WR Mike Evans, RT Luke Goedeke, and RG Cody Mauch sidelined it makes him tough to trust in Week 4.
Especially against a stingy Philadelphia Eagles defense that is allowing just 185.7 passing yards per game and ranks sixth in opponent passer rating (76.4).

Baker Mayfield season-to-date performance
Mayfield completed 71.4% of his passes for a career-high 4,500 passing yards last year. While his numbers are down this year, they don't do justice to the fact that he's keeping an injury-riddled Bucs offense afloat.
He has completed just 61.6% of his passes for 615 yards in three games. That said, he's second in the NFL in big-time throws (8) and has zero interceptions, which is impressive when you consider that he's been playing without WR Chris Godwin and All-Pro LT Tristan Wirfs.
Who do I bet on if Baker Mayfield doesn't play?
Mayfield is expected to play but if he's surprisingly ruled out, the job will fall to backup Teddy Bridgewater who hasn't started a game since 2022. Wirfs and Godwin are expected to make their season debut in Week 4, but could be rusty and on a snap count.
With all the other injuries at receiver and on the line, the only Bucs player to consider betting on would be RB Bucky Irving. He has 10 catches for 83 yards over the last two games and should see plenty of targets as an outlet option.
The Over 23.5 receiving yards for Irving is -114 at FanDuel while the Over 3.5 receptions is +118.
