Boise State vs Nevada prediction
Boise State vs Nevada best bet: Boise State -21.5 (-105)
The Boise State Broncos made a statement in last week’s 56-31 demolition of UNLV. Spencer Danielson’s squad did whatever it wanted offensively (9.8 yards per play) and proved to be several weight classes above a previously undefeated team in Mountain West play.
It’s a difficult scheduling spot, coming off that marquee matchup to play on short rest and on the road. Still, the Broncos are galloping, and I don’t expect them to be deterred by the conference’s worst team — the Nevada Wolf Pack are the only Mountain West squad still without a conference win.
Boise averages 205.6 rushing yards per game and will find room to work against a Nevada defense that doesn’t get push up front (127th in stuff rate) or stop the run at all (130th in EPA per rush allowed). The Broncos found their groove offensively against UNLV in a comfortable win, which should only generate confidence moving forward.
Nevada has one of the worst offenses in the country (134th in EPA per play), whereas Boise State checks in at 19th in success rate on defense. This is a bad mismatch on both sides of the ball, and Boise has won by this margin three times this season.
Boise State vs Nevada same-game parlay
There could be anticipation for Boise to get off to a sleepy start on the road, but I’m not buying it — the Broncos are a superior team and should demonstrate their quality from the jump.
They should do plenty of scoring on their own and only need minimal scoring output from Nevada to cash the Over. The Wolf Pack have managed at least 10 points in every game, and if they provide that in this game, the Over will be firmly in play.

Our deep-ball SGP: Bucking Broncos
Former five-star talent Chris Marshall is Boise’s leading receiver (440 yards) and found the end zone last week, and there should be more productive days in store for him as the WR1 for a potent offense. Nevada true freshman quarterback Carter Jones has averaged 198 passing yards in his two games as a starter and should see an uptick in attempts with his team playing from behind for much of the contest.
