Redshirt Junior wideout Jordyn Tyson has had a very up-and-down season this year for the Arizona State Sun Devils. After averaging 8.1 receptions per game in the first seven games of the season, Tyson missed the next three games with a hamstring injury.
Last week, he returned on a snap count and only played 29 snaps. He finished the game with two catches for 61 yards. While he may not be on a tight snap count this week, he still is not likely back to 100% and will be facing a fierce pass defense.
The Arizona Wildcats rank sixth in the nation, allowing only 159.7 yards through the air per game. Only two receivers all season have gone beyond 91 receiving yards on Arizona, despite a few high-scoring games. They really struggle to stop the run, and so most teams use that to their advantage.
The strength of the Sun Devils offense is in their run game, and the strength of the Wildcats' defense is in the passing game. You must think there will be limited opportunities for Tyson, given the mismatches in the run game and the fact that he is still recovering from a hamstring injury.
