The reigning national champion Florida Gators will be looking to defend their home court against the SEC rival Tennessee Volunteers today.

The Gators are coming off a big win over ranked Georgia, and will try to build on that momentum after falling out of the Top 25.

My Tennessee vs. Florida predictions and college basketball picks for Saturday, January 10 believe Florida will win and cover.

Tennessee vs Florida prediction

Tennessee vs Florida best bet: Florida -5.5 (-105)

The Florida Gators started their championship defense ranked No. 3 in the country but started poorly in the non-conference schedule, failing to beat any ranked teams despite three opportunities.

However, they never lost a game at home, as all their losses were either on the road or on a neutral court.

They were able to bounce back in conference play with a home win over 18th-ranked Georgia on Tuesday night, and have some momentum coming into this big rivalry game.

Meanwhile, the Tennessee Volunteers had a huge non-conference win over the third-ranked Houston Cougars on a neutral site.

However, the Vols have only played two true road games and lost both, falling to Syracuse 62-60, and Arkansas 86-75. They were favorites in both of those contests.

Tennessee will again be without Cade Phillips, who plays a big role protecting the rim and rebounding. The Gators' specialty is rebounding and scoring around the rim, as they have struggled to shoot from downtown this season.

The home team has won and covered each of the last 10 matchups between these two teams dating back to the 2019-20 season.

With Florida able to get to the rim and out-rebound the Vols, I like their chances to not only win this game at home, but also cover the 5.5-point spread.

Tennessee vs Florida same-game parlay

To add to my best bet, I am going to take the Under.

Florida has trouble hitting threes, and their defense just held the nation’s highest scoring team to less than 80 points.

Finally, Thomas Haugh has had at least seven rebounds in each of his last three games and has a nice matchup in this contest.
