Oklahoma vs Arizona Prediction, Picks, and Odds for Tonight’s College Basketball Game

For all of the things Caleb Love does for this Arizona squad, 3-point shooting hasn't been one of them recently, and we expect those struggles to continue today.

Feast Week continues with the Battle 4 Atlantic semifinal on Thursday between the Oklahoma Sooners and No. 24-ranked Arizona Wildcats.

The Wildcats are led by preseason All-American Caleb Love, but my Oklahoma vs. Arizona predictions are betting on a poor shooting performance from him today. Here are my best college basketball picks for this Thanksgiving Day clash in the Bahamas, with tipoff at 5 p.m. ET.

Oklahoma vs Arizona prediction

My best bet
Caleb Love Under 3.5 threes  (-165 at bet365)

My analysis
The Arizona Wildcats hammered Davidson 104-71 last night. Arizona's offense finally clicked after back-to-back losses against Duke and Wisconsin, and Caleb Love led the way with 20 points while going 3-7 from 3-point range. That said, I'm expecting regression from Love and this Wildcats offense here.

Keep in mind that ShotQualityBets projected 10 fewer points on 3-pointers for Arizona last night, and Davidson struggles to defend outside shots, ranking 355th in the country in opponent 3-point percentage (42%). On the other hand, the Oklahoma Sooners hold foes to just 27.7% shooting from deep, and they rank sixth in the country at allowing low-quality threes, per ShotQualityBets.

Love is Arizona's best player, but the senior guard is incredibly inconsistent and has a tendency to shoot the Wildcats in or out of games. The O/U for Love's threes made is set at 3.5, which he's gone Under in every game this year.

He's also knocked down just 5 of 45 attempts (11.1%) from beyond the arc in his last six games against Power Conference foes going back to last season.

Oklahoma vs Arizona same-game parlay

Caleb Love Under 3.5 threes

Over 155.5

Oklahoma +6.5

The Sooners beat Providence 79-77 yesterday but were up nine points with just 40 seconds remaining in that game before a couple of late gaffes allowed the Friars to close the gap. Notably, they were in a shootout with an extremely slow-paced school like Providence, which is 122nd in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency, per KenPom.

They now face an Arizona squad that's 28th in adjusted offense and averages just 14.7 seconds per offensive possession — the eighth-lowest number in the country. Oklahoma is also in the Top 50 when it comes to average possession length on offense (15.5 seconds), which will lead to a higher-scoring contest.

The Sooners defend extremely well in transition and apply a ton of pressure on opposing ball-handlers (ninth in the country in opponent TO rate). That should help them keep things close against an up-tempo Arizona squad that's struggled with turnovers over its last three games.
