The Phoenix Suns opened their season with a win over the Sacramento Kings before getting blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. The Denver Nuggets lost a heartbreaker in OT to the Golden State Warriors in their season opener.

The Suns will look to get back on track on the second night of a back-to-back set, while the Nuggets will look to get in the win column for the first time this season.

Here are my best free NBA picks and Suns vs. Nuggets predictions for Saturday’s tilt at Ball Arena.

Suns vs Nuggets prediction

Suns vs Nuggets best betDevin Booker Over 25.5 points (-115)

The defensive woes of the Denver Nuggets from a season ago are well-documented. The Nuggets allowed the sixth-most points per game at 116.9 and sported the ninth-worst defensive rating at 116.

The Nuggets started this season allowing 137 points to the Warriors in Wednesday’s loss. They should be better at home and fired up after such a tough loss, but I’m not expecting tremendous defense here.

Over the last seven seasons, Devin Booker has averaged 26.6 points per game. He averaged 27.1 on the road last season and provided 28 games with at least 26 points, reaching that mark in 21 of 37 games on the road. He posted 34 points in his last trip to Ball Arena.

Booker finished with 31 points in his 2025 debut, though he managed only 18 in Friday’s loss. In that one, he attempted only 10 shots, something that happened just four times last season.

I expect him to be much more aggressive tonight as he looks to get the Phoenix Suns back on track.

Suns vs Nuggets same-game parlay

Dillon Brooks has the green light in Phoenix’s offense, as he’s shot the ball 41 times through two games, including 18 three-point attempts. Known primarily for his work as a defensive irritant, Brooks has scored 21 and 22 points in his first two contests in a Suns uniform.

Grayson Allen averaged 3.9 assists per game across seven starts last season. He isn’t revered as an elite facilitator, but he’s racked up 12 assists over the first two games of the season.

With Jalen Green sidelined, he’ll get another start on Saturday, and he should see the ball in his hands frequently.

Suns vs Nuggets SGP

  • Devin Booker Over 25.5 points
  • Dillon Brooks Over 15.5 points
  • Grayson Allen Over 3.5 assists

Our "from downtown" SGP: Jokic Messes Around

Nikola Jokic picked right up where he left off on Wednesday with a triple-double in the opener.

Arguably the greatest triple-double threat of all time, it’s not a stretch to see him stuffing the stat sheet for a second straight game on Saturday.

He recorded a 31/21/22 triple-double in his last home matchup with Phoenix.

Suns vs Nuggets SGP

  • Devin Booker Over 25.5 points
  • Dillon Brooks Over 15.5 points
  • Grayson Allen Over 3.5 assists
  • Nikola Jokic to record a triple-double

Suns vs Nuggets odds
