It’s a solid ball night with six NBA games on the board, which means plenty of NBA player props for basketball bettors to enjoy.

I’ve found my three favorite for tonight, including a sparkling night for a Magic big, and a matchup made for Jordan Poole.

Those and more NBA picks for Tuesday, January 6.

Prop #1: Wendell Carter Jr. double-double

+160 at bet365

There is no sparkle with this Orlando Magic team, at least for their backers, after going 3-13 against the spread over their last 16 games. But you can’t blame that on Wendell Carter Jr.

The Magic big man has done his best to be a stabilizing force in the middle, averaging 14.3 points and 8.2 rebounds over his last 12 games. And he should have more than enough in his bag of tricks against a wandless Washington Wizards team on Tuesday night.

The 9-25 Wizards have a ton of problems. One of the biggest is on the glass. Washington has the third-worst rebounding rate in the NBA while surrendering the most opponent rebounds per game.

Carter has been a beast on the boards lately, hauling down 11, 10, and 12 rebounds over his last three games, resulting in him recording a double-double in each of the last two.

With the Wizards also ranking 24th in opponent points in the paint, I love the odds for Carter to record a double-double for the third straight game.

Prop #2: Jordan Poole Over 2.5 threes

+115 at bet365

The Los Angeles Lakers enter tonight’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans with a 22-11 record, but Luke Doncic and Co. have basically had to outshoot everyone along the way, because the Lakers don’t play a lick of defense. And even a team like the Pels can put up the points.

A “defense is optional” game sounds perfect for a Jordan Poole prop. Poole is starting to find his shooting rhythm after dealing with injuries for much of the season to date.

The Pels shooting guard is averaging 19 points while shooting 37.8% from three-point range over the last four games, hitting four or more threes three times in those games.

Tuesday night, he’ll face a Lakers team that has real problems with perimeter defense. Los Angeles ranks 16th in opponent three-point attempts per game and next-to-last in opponent three-point shooting percentage.

Poole should let it fly in this juicy matchup, so take Over 2.5 made threes at solid plus money.

Prop #3: Daniel Gafford Over 6.5 Rebounds

-105 at bet365

Talk about missing a player. With Domantas Sabonis sidelined, the Sacramento Kings now rank dead last in the NBA in rebounding rate while surrendering the sixth-most opponent rebounds per game.

That could make for a hard night of cleaning the glass against a Dallas Mavericks team that has gone with a big lineup in the last several games.

Last time out Dallas started Anthony Davis, Cooper Flagg, PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford. All are 6-foot-7 or taller. Gafford has been the latest addition to the starting lineup, starting three of the last four games and he should stay there with Washington doubtful with an injury.

Gafford has hauled down seven, 10, and eight rebounds in those last three games in the starting lineup, which includes a matchup against this same Kings team back on Dec. 27.

His rebounding prop for this matchup against the Kings is 6.5. The Over looks like a great bet to me.
