It’s a ball night! The NBA schedule is jam-packed with 10 games on the board, which means no shortage of options when it comes to NBA player props.
My favorites include an unheralded Phoenix Suns player who will light up the New York Knicks, and Giannis Antetokounmpo getting some support in a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Those and more NBA picks for Friday, January 9.
Best NBA player props today

| Over 4.5 rebounds | -120 | |
| Over 10.5 points | -120 |

Prop #1: Jordan Goodwin Over 1.5 threes
The New York Knicks are going to have to do a better job of defending the 3-point line if they want to be considered a serious title contender this season.
The Knicks visit the Phoenix Suns with some of the worst perimeter defense in the NBA. New York surrenders the third-worst opponent 3-point shooting percentage, resulting in the third-most opponent-made threes per game.
The Suns have a handful of good shooters, starting with Devin Booker. But my favorite Phoenix player to back in this spot is benchman Jordan Goodwin.
The 27-year-old is having arguably his best pro season, and he’s in a shooting rhythm. He’s draining 40% of his threes on 6.0 attempts per game over the last 10 games. He’s hit two or more threes in seven of his last 10 games.
So, getting the Over 1.5 at plus money looks like a great bet tonight.

Prop #2: Al Horford Over 4.5 rebounds
Talk about missing a player. The Sacramento Kings have become the worst rebounding team in the NBA since All-Star Domantas Sabonis got hurt.
The Kings enter tonight’s matchup with Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors ranked dead last in rebounding rate while surrendering the fifth-most opponent rebounds per game.
That has me looking at the Dubs' most efficient rebounder. Al Horford.
The veteran power forward has a rebounding prop set at 4.5. He averages 4.8 on the season, and has been doing an even better job cleaning the glass since returning from the injured list.
Horford is averaging 6.0 rebounds per game in just over 16 minutes per game in his last five games. He’s hauled down seven, two, six, five, and 10 rebounds in those games.
Over 4.5 looks like a great bet tonight.

Prop #3: Myles Turner Over 10.5 points
Giannis Antetokounmpo is doing his best to dispel any rumours about his future with the Milwaukee Bucks and that his focus is on basketball, and tonight that focus takes him to La La Land to take on Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Los Angeles Lakers have surprised many with their 23-15 start to the season, but this team has plenty of room to improve. Particularly on defense.
The Lakers enter this matchup ranked 21st in defensive rating and 27th in opponent effective field goal percentage.
Taking Giannis Over his points is a little obvious, so let’s look at his teammate Myles Turner instead.
Turner picked up his game lately, averaging 13 points over his last six games, hitting 13 or more five times.
With a matchup against Deandre Ayton, Turner should get plenty of run tonight and go Over his modest point total of 10.5.
