The Nets earned a 120-108 victory over the Rockets on Wednesday, but the team lost James Harden in the process. The superstar hurt his hamstring in that win, and it’s now unlikely that he’ll be out there for a Thursday, April 1 meeting with the Hornets at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York.

NBA sharp money and line movement report

The total plunged from 229.5 to 221.5 and is now 222, although the Over is getting 65 percent of bets/64 percent of cash.

Against the spread (ATS) pick
While LaMelo Ball is out indefinitely with a broken wrist, the Hornets have no shortage of talented guards on their roster. Terry Rozier is having the best season of his career for the Hornets, and he’s more than capable of handling the ball — he was primarily a point guard before arriving in Charlotte. Meanwhile, Devonte’ Graham normally comes off the bench for this team, but he was their starter a year ago. He also happens to be good enough to start for a lot of teams in this league.
Over the last four games, Graham is averaging 21.0 points and has been doing his usual damage as a shooter off the dribble. Both he and Rozier should be ready to go against a Brooklyn team that doesn’t do a great job of defending the perimeter.
With Harden likely to miss some time, Kyrie Irving is the only one of Brooklyn’s stars expected to be out there when these teams play. With that, it wouldn’t be shocking if Irving has a huge game offensively. This also might be a night where Blake Griffin turns back the clock and puts up some big numbers. But this Charlotte group is extremely feisty, and this team is more than capable of heading into Brooklyn and picking up a victory.
PREDICTION: Hornets +3.5 (-110)
Over/Under pick
The Under has hit in six of Charlotte’s last seven games, and the same can be said for five of Brooklyn’s last six. Both of these teams have a lot of offensive talent, but both are actually defending well as of late. And with a lot of firepower on the sidelines in this one, it’s likely that this game will end up being somewhat sloppy.
PREDICTION: Under 229.5 (-110)
Player prop pick
As previously mentioned, Graham is averaging 21.0 points per game over the last four games. He has also scored at least 16 points per game in each of those contests, and he’s only going to get more and more comfortable as he returns to the role he had a year ago. Graham is a tremendous three-point shooter, and he’s capable of hitting with a hand in his face.
The only thing that can really throw him off is a defender with real length, but the Nets likely won’t throw anybody like that at him. Look for Graham to get it going in this one, especially if Irving ends up guarding him.
PREDICTION: Devonte’ Graham Over 15.5 Points (-115)
