The Orlando Magic have yo-yoed between wins and losses for 14 straight games.

They’ll need to go overseas to pick up back-to-back wins as they battle the Memphis Grizzlies in Berlin this afternoon, where they are 4.5-point favorites in the NBA odds.

My Grizzlies vs. Magic predictions and NBA picks have Orlando kicking the depleted Grizz when they’re down on Thursday, January 15.

Grizzlies vs Magic prediction

Grizzlies vs Magic best bet: Magic -5 (-110)

The Orlando Magic are looking for consecutive wins for the first time since November 28 and December 1.

The good news is Orlando is getting healthy.

Moritz Wagner has just returned from an ACL tear that had him sidelined since December 2024, while his brother, Franz Wagner, will be returning to the lineup after missing 16 games with an ankle injury.

Franz is one of the Magic's offensive engines, averaging 22.7 points and 6.1 rebounds in the 24 games this season.

The injury-riddled Memphis Grizzlies have won just twice in their last eight.

Ja Morant (calf) has missed five in a row and has already been ruled out in Berlin, joining a laundry list of regulars on the shelf, including Ty Jerome (calf), Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe), Zach Edey (ankle), and Brandon Clarke (calf).

Memphis has dominated this head-to-head, but it lacks scoring upside without Morant, averaging just 107.4 points in the last five games without their star.

Just having the sheer size of the Wagners back should improve an Orlando defense on the fringes of the Top 10 in scoring defense and get the win in Germany.

Grizzlies vs Magic same-game parlay

It’s not exactly the revenge-game setting Desmond Bane was looking for playing his former team for the first time since being traded, but he’s ready.

Bane has led the Magic in scoring in each of the last two games, averaging 25 points on 48.6% shooting.

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored just 14 points on 3-for-11 shooting against Brooklyn, but it won’t get easier dealing with all that Orlando length. He’s scored 20 points just once in the last five against the Magic.

Our "from downtown" SGP: Homecoming

It’s a homecoming game for the Wagners, so there should be some added juice to show out. I’ll take Franz’s generous 4.5 rebounding line. Even though he's just returning to the lineup, he's averaging 6.1 boards on the year.

Paolo Banchero has lost his touch from downtown, nailing one triple or less in 12 of his last 15. He’s also failed to hit 2+ from distance in his last three against the Grizzlies.

Grizzlies vs Magic SGP

  • Magic -5
  • Desmond Bane Over 19.5 points
  • Jaren Jackson Jr. Under 19.5 points
  • Franz Wagner Over 4.5 rebounds
  • Paolo Banchero Under 1.5 threes
