The Seattle Mariners took some big swings to land Eugenio Suarez and Josh Naylor before the trade deadline, and they’ll look to build on that buzz against the Texas Rangers.

However, my Rangers vs. Mariners predictions point to Texas raining on the Seattle parade in tonight's AL West showdown.

Check out my MLB picks on Thursday, July 31.

Rangers vs Mariners prediction

My Rangers vs Mariners best bet: Rangers moneyline (+143 at Caesars)

Unlike the headline-grabbing Seattle Mariners, it’s been a quiet run-up to the trade deadline for the Texas Rangers, and that’s surely a reflection of the team’s strong recent form.

The arrow is pointing up for the Rangers, who’ve won seven of their last nine. The offense has piled up 52 runs in that span, so it’s natural to have some hesitation about tinkering with the current formula. While Texas is just 23-32 on the road, I like this underdog price against a Seattle team adjusting to new arrivals, including former Mariner Eugenio Suarez, and has dropped back-to-back games.

While it’s been a rollercoaster season for second-year righty Kumar Rocker, Texas has walked away with victories in two of his past three starts. Rocker also pitched six innings of two-run ball when these teams squared off in late June.

Mariners starter George Kirby boasts a 4.50 ERA in 2025, but the hosts’ offense is much more of a wild card. It’s easy to see why they went looking for bats before the deadline, as the M's have scored three runs or fewer in seven of their past 10.

As this crucial four-game series gets underway, I prefer to roll the dice with the Rangers, who are 28-17 in their last 45 games and eyeing a surge up the AL West standings.

Rangers vs Mariners same-game parlay (SGP)

Rangers moneyline

Under 7.5

Adolis Garcia 1+ hits

Despite the heavy-hitters added to the Seattle line-up over the past week, the Under provides nice value tonight. It’s 8-2 in the Mariners’ past 10, and 61-45 overall for Texas.

Adolis Garcia is 6-for-20 against Kirby, including a homer and a double. He’s chipped in with a hit in five of his last six games, and I see him adding another here.
