See why I like Manny Machado to go deep and for both SPs in tonight's Mariners-Angels cash to rack up the strikeouts on Saturday, July 26.

Our 3 best MLB player props for Saturday, July 26

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Manny Machado to hit a home run (+400 at FanDuel)

The St. Louis Cardinals host the San Diego Padres in the evening portion of Saturday’s MLB slate. Left-hander Matthew Liberatore takes the mound for St. Louis, and he should serve as a solid fade candidate.

Through 18 starts this season, Liberatore is 6-7 with a 4.13 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. His underlying metrics are equally poor, as the southpaw ranks in the bottom half of the league in expected ERA (xERA), expected batting average (xBA), barrel rate, and hard-hit rate.

Manny Machado is as good an option as any to tee off on Liberatore, against whom he's already hit a home run in his lone at-bat. Machado also ranks in the 91st percentile or higher in expected slugging percentage (xSLG), average exit velocity, and hard-hit rate.

Tyler Anderson Over 4.5 strikeouts (-112 at FanDuel)

Saturday’s nightcap features the Los Angeles Angels hosting the Seattle Mariners. Left-hander Tyler Anderson gets the ball for Los Angeles, and while he hasn’t had the greatest success this season, he excels at forcing missed swings.

Entering this matchup, Anderson ranks in the top half of the league in both chase and whiff rates. That trend is likely to continue against Seattle.
Through 137 combined plate appearances against Anderson, the current Mariners roster has a 23.4% strikeout rate and a 27% whiff rate.

George Kirby Over 5.5 strikeouts (-114 at FanDuel)

Staying in the same game, Seattle’s George Kirby is also a strong option for our MLB picks in the strikeout department. This season, Kirby ranks in the 91st percentile in chase rate and the 61st in strikeout rate.

Like Anderson, Kirby has had previous success against his opponent. Through 103 combined plate appearances, the current Angels roster has a 27.2% strikeout rate and a 25.4% whiff rate.
