It’s a jam-packed Saturday in the MLB with all 30 teams in action and tons of player props to choose from.
The New York Mets are set to line up for a favorable matchup against the lowly Colorado Rockies tonight, and I’ll be taking Pete Alonso to go yard against a struggling starter.
Keep reading for my best MLB player props for Saturday, June 7.

MLB props for June 7
Pete Alonso 1+ home runs (+241 at Pinnacle)
New York Mets slugger Pete Alonso went through a bit of a dry patch in May as he had a 16-game streak without a home run while knocking in just four RBI.
The good news for the Mets is that their heavy-hitting first baseman seems to be back on track as he’s racked up 11 RBI and three dingers over his last four outings. And with a favorable matchup against the Colorado Rockies on deck tonight, I suspect we’ll see more of the same from Alonso.
Rockies starter Carson Palmquist will appear in just his fifth career MLB game and it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the 24-year-old so far. The rookie was lit up for four earned runs and two homers in just 4 2/3 innings by the Mets last weekend.
Unsurprisingly, Alonso was responsible for one of those homers as he smacked a three-run shot in the fourth inning to help his team secure the three-game sweep.
Palmquist carries a bloated 8.50 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP through his first four starts while allowing four home runs over his last three games. Alonso has had success against the rookie already and could easily go yard again in the rematch.
Jacob deGrom Under 1.5 earned runs (+120 at bet365)
The Texas Rangers have had a disappointing start to their season, but Jacob deGrom has been a nice comeback story. The veteran pitcher, who turns 37 in less than two weeks, is finally back on track after missing the better part of two seasons following Tommy John surgery.
deGrom comes into the weekend with a tidy 2.51 ERA accompanied by a 0.99 WHIP and looks poised for another solid start vs. a low-scoring Washington Nationals squad.
The Nats have managed a measly 1.8 runs per game over their last five outings, scoring two runs or fewer in four of those contests. Washington is also averaging just 2.27 runs through the first five innings this season.
deGrom pitched a very clean six innings against the St. Louis Cardinals last Sunday, scattering four hits and one earned runs while throwing just 81 pitches.
The Rangers starter has allowed two earned runs or fewer in nine straight appearances, and one earned run or less in four of those games.
Vinnie Pasquantino Over 0.5 RBI (+115 at bet365)
The Kansas City Royals might have dropped Friday’s series opener to the lowly Chicago White Sox but it was another good night at the plate for Vinnie Pasquantino.
The first baseman drove in one of two Kansas City runs with a solo shot in the third inning as he continued his hot streak. Pasquantino enters Saturday on a four-game RBI streak as well as a seven-game hit streak, while his .429 average over the last 15 days is the second-best mark in the majors.
I like today’s matchup for Pasquantino as well, as he’s expected to go up against right-hander Adrian Houser. Pasquantino is batting .286 with a .439 slugging percentage and a .781 OPS vs. righties this season – a lot better than his .204/.278/.519 splits against lefties.
Houser has also historically fared poorly against left-handed batting, with lefties hitting .282/.454/.821 against him over his career. By comparison, those splits are down to .230/.339/.634 for righties.
The Royals may not get a lot going this afternoon but Pasquantino should get his.
