Shohei Ohtani sent another ball out of the park last night, and he'll make it back-to-back games with a long ball in The Mile High City.

HR picks for August 20

Kyle Schwarber (+200 at DraftKings)

It doesn’t matter who's on the mound; Kyle Schwarber is a threat to leave the yard. He’s up to 44 home runs on the season after the slugger went deep in the series opener against the Seattle Mariners. Today’s matchup heavily plays in his favor.

The Phils face Luis Castillo, who is a familiar arm due to his time with the Cincinnati Reds. Schwarber has lit him up in the past, going 6-for-20 with four long balls. Nearly every one of his hits against Castillo has landed in the bleachers.

Schwarber has 27 bombs off right-handed hurlers, and Castillo has allowed five homers across his last two starts alone. I'll happily add this to my MLB picks.

Shohei Ohtani (+115 at DraftKings)

Odds like this for an anytime home run are insane, but we’re talking about Shohei Ohtani. He also sits on 44 home runs, just like Schwarber, and continues to chase down Cal Raleigh for the MLB lead. While Ohtani is on the mound tonight against the lowly Colorado Rockies, he’ll still DH.

The Japanese superstar smacked a round-tripper last night in a win over the Rockies in Denver. He’s never faced starter Tanner Gordon, but the hurler has been brutal, compiling a 7.98 ERA and allowing five bombs in just eight starts this year.

Ohtani has done the majority of his power damage against righties, cranking 33 home runs. It’s not like he needs the help, but the elevation in The Mile High City is beneficial, too.

Francisco Lindor (+450 at DraftKings)

Francisco Lindor is heating up for the World Series hopeful New York Mets,  hitting .258 with 24 home runs. Lindor has gone deep three times in his last five appearances, and that included a two-homer game against the Mariners.

The Mets face an NL East foe tonight in the Washington Nationals, with Brad Lord on the bump for the Nats. Lindor is 2-for-2 lifetime against him, and the shortstop is hot right now. He’s batting .338 in August and has five multi-hit games across his last six contests.

During that span, Lindor has collected three hits in a game on three occasions. He’s extremely confident right now, and there have been numerous doubles in there. We could see him go a step further.
