HR picks for June 29

Ketel Marte (+400 at DraftKings)

The afternoon portion of Sunday’s MLB slate features the Arizona Diamondbacks hosting the Miami Marlins. Arizona’s Ketel Marte enters this game in great form.

He’s homered in four of the past eight games, posting a .394 BA, .879 SLG, and 1.295 OPS over that stretch. This success is likely to continue against Cal Quantrill, who takes the mound for Miami.

Through 12 plate appearances against Quantrill, Marte boasts a .545 SLG with one homer. Furthermore, Quantrill ranks in the bottom fifth of the league in xERA, average exit velocity, barrel rate, and hard-hit rate.

Javier Baez (+600 at DraftKings)

Sunday Night Baseball features the Detroit Tigers hosting the Minnesota Twins. Right-hander Chris Paddack takes the mound for Minnesota, and he should serve as a good fade candidate.

Through 16 appearances on the mound this season, Paddack is 3-6 with a 4.64 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. His underlying metrics are equally poor, given he ranks in the bottom third of the league in xERA, xBA, and hard-hit rate.

If anyone's going to take advantage of Paddack, it's Javier Baez. Through seven plate appearances against Paddack, Baez boasts a .333 BA, 1.000 SLG, and one home run.

Gleyber Torres (+600 at DraftKings)

Another Tigers hitter to target in this matchup is Gleyber Torres. Entering this contest in great form, Torres has homered in two of the past three games.

Torres boasts a .364 BA, .909 SLG, and 1.371 OPS over that stretch. Like Baez, Torres has thrived against Paddack.

Through eight plate appearances, Torres boasts a .625 SLG and .411 xSLG. Lastly, Minnesota’s bullpen ranks in the bottom half of the league in ERA.

Today’s HR parlay

Ketel Marte to hit a home run

Javier Baez to hit a home run

Gleyber Torres to hit a home run

  1. Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers
  2. Aaron Judge, Yankees
  3. Kyle Schwarber, Phillies
