The Toronto Blue Jays host the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series tonight. Los Angeles forced this winner-take-all matchup with its 3-1 win in Game 6.

My MLB player props and Dodgers vs. Blue Jays predictions expect a similar outcome on Saturday evening.

Read on for my MLB picks for November 1, highlighted by a Freddie Freeman prop.

Dodgers vs Blue Jays player prop picks

Prop #1: Max Scherzer Over 1.5 earned runs

-140 at BetMGM

The Toronto Blue Jays hand the ball to right-hander Max Scherzer in Game 7, but this is not the same Scherzer of old. His age has caught up to him, as he finished the year with a 5.19 ERA and 1.29 WHIP across 17 starts.

His underlying metrics were equally poor, with Scherzer ranking in the bottom third of the league in xERA, xBA, and barrel rate. These struggles have continued into the postseason, where the veteran owns a 4.50 ERA and 1.30 WHIP.

He has surrendered two or more earned runs in each of his two playoff starts. The latest of those came against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of this series, an outing in which Scherzer allowed three earned runs in just over four innings.

Prop #2: Shohei Ohtani Over 0.5 home runs

+210 at BetMGM

One of the runs Scherzer allowed in Game 3 came off a Shohei Ohtani home run, and it wouldn’t be surprising if one of the greatest baseball players of all time took him deep again.

Through eight career plate appearances against Scherzer, Ohtani boasts a 1.125 slugging percentage and .719 expected slugging percentage.

Being the remarkable talent he is, Ohtani is also likely to open the game as the starting pitcher for the Dodgers. That said, he has shown no issue thriving at the plate in games where he also pitches.

Ohtani took the mound in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Milwaukee Brewers. Not only did he pitch a gem to complete the sweep, but he also homered three times in that game.

Prop #3: Freddie Freeman Over 1.5 total bases

+100 at BetMGM

Ohtani is not the only clutch hitter in this Dodgers lineup. In Game 3, Freddie Freeman became the first player in MLB history to hit two walk-off home runs in the World Series.

Freeman delivers both strong contact and power, recording two or more total bases in three of the past five games in this series. That success is likely to continue against Scherzer, a pitcher Freeman has handled well throughout his career.

Through 66 plate appearances against the right-hander, Freeman boasts a .429 slugging percentage and .447 expected slugging percentage.
