Best NRFI Bets Today - Friday, September 26

The Brewers have been one of the worst at scoring in the opening frame, and the Blue Jays are struggling to score 1st-inning runs, while early runs are expected with Harrison and Mize on the bump.

The Milwaukee Brewers were mashing in August, but given the hitters in their lineup and the underlying metrics, that wasn't sustainable.

They've come crashing back to earth over the last week, which is why my MLB picks are betting on no runs to be scored in the first inning of tonight's NL Central clash against the Reds.

Here are my best YRFI and NRFI predictions and MLB picks for Friday, September 26.

NRFI/YRFI bets for September 26

Reds vs Brewers: NRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

Regression has set in for the Milwaukee Brewers, who have an OPS of .600 while averaging just 2.0 runs per game over the last week. The Brewers are now last in the majors in run first inning percentage at home (18%).

Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Reds have struggled to hit on the road, where they are 28th in run-first inning percentage (22.8%) with an OPS of .689.

Both teams have solid starters on the hill today. Milwaukee righty Quinn Priester has impressed as a starter, posting a 2.86 ERA while holding opponents to a slugging percentage of .388.

Cincinnati gives the ball to Zach Littell, who has a 3.86 ERA with a 1.10 WHIP through 31 starts. He's been fantastic in the first inning, where he has pitched to a 2.61 ERA with an OBA of .205.

Rays at Blue Jays: NRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

Speaking of regression, the Toronto Blue Jays are another team that has gone from being red-hot at the plate to ice-cold.

The Jays have an OPS of just .567 while averaging 3.0 runs per game over the last week. They close out the regular season with a home set against the Tampa Bay Rays, who have an OPS of .684 on the road.

The Rays will give the pill to Adrian Houser, who has a 3.18 ERA through 20 starts. Toronto responds with former AL Cy Young winner Shane Bieber, who is making a comeback following Tommy John surgery. He has looked sharp through six starts, posting a 3.57 ERA with a sparkling 0.96 WHIP.

Tigers at Red Sox: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

The YRFI prop is available at plus money in this clash which is excellent value when you consider the matchup.

The Boston Red Sox are ninth in the majors in OPS (.746) with that number ticking up to .767 at home. They should get to Detroit Tigers starter Casey Mize who has struggled over the last couple of months. Mize has pitched to a 5.84 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP over his last 12 starts.

The Red Sox counter with 24-year-old southpaw Kyle Harrison. In five starts, Harrison has a mediocre 4.07 ERA and he was scored on in the opening frame in two of those outings. The Tigers have mashed against lefties, boasting the second-best OPS (.780) in the majors.
