The Sahara Las Vegas has announced that it is removing the $55 nightly resort fee as part of a new summer promotion aimed at attracting both tourists and local residents.
Key Takeaways
- Sahara Las Vegas has suspended its $55 nightly resort fee as part of its “All-In Rate Experience,” available for stays through Oct. 31.
- The promotion includes room upgrades, daily resort credits, late checkout, and entertainment discounts, with booking required by Aug. 10.
- The property joins a small group of Strip resorts offering free parking and value-focused perks to attract summer visitors.
The 1,616-room property launched the “All-In Rate Experience,” which runs through Oct. 31 and must be booked by Aug. 10. Hotel rates start at $69 per night, with no resort fee and various added perks.
“Vegas visitors are savvier than ever and they value convenience, quality and transparency,” Sahara general manager Paul Hobson said in a release. “Sahara focuses on delivering memorable experiences without the hidden costs because real hospitality should feel effortless, not transactional.”
The package includes a free room upgrade to the newly upgraded Marra Style King room, a $25-per-day resort credit for a prix fixe menu at Balla Italian Soul, late checkout, and discounts on the “Magic Mike Live” show, Amina Spa, and buy-one-get-one offers at the Azilo Ultra Lounge.
The Sahara also continues to provide free parking, a rare perk on the Strip, along with discounts for locals and industry professionals with valid ID.
This move comes as several other Las Vegas resorts seek to increase occupancy during the slower summer months. Additionally, Sin City has experienced tourism declines in recent months, with visitation down 6% quarter-to-date. Despite this, financial analyst Hordan Bender predicts visitation should rise in the upcoming quarters due to events like convention season.
Resorts World leads the way on resort fee cuts
The Sahara’s move to suspend its $55 resort fee follows a similar decision by Resorts World Las Vegas, which earlier became the first Strip property to eliminate resort fees, at least temporarily.
Resorts World announced in June that it would waive its nightly fees through Sept. 11, while also offering complimentary self-parking through Aug. 28.
“This summer, we’re focused on delivering experiences that feel easy, exciting and worthwhile,” said Carlos Castro, President and CFO of Resorts World Las Vegas. “By removing resort fees and offering complimentary parking for the summer months, we’re giving guests more freedom to enjoy what they came for -- great food, great entertainment and a memorable stay.”
Resorts World, which features Hilton, Conrad, and Crockfords under one roof, has also introduced summer resort credits of up to $75 for guests, aiming to boost occupancy following a slower start to 2025.
