Polymarket will provide “integrated branding and real-time market insights designed to enhance audience engagement.”
“The Golden Globes have long been a place where audiences debate and predict what will happen next,” said Shayne Coplan, Polymarket CEO and founder. “Polymarket reflects those expectations through markets spanning entertainment and culture, and this partnership brings that perspective directly into one of awards season’s biggest moments. But pairing cultural debate with market-based probabilities, we’re giving fans a new, more interactive way to follow the show as it unfolds.”
The Golden Globes already successfully harness social media on awards night. Last year, social media engagements for the awards show were up 124% year-over-year. Its partnership with Polymarket is likely to further boost viewer interaction.
“Our partnership with Polymarket unlocks a groundbreaking new frontier, redefining how audiences engage with and connect to the content they love,” said Craig Perreault, president of Penske Media Corporation. “Deepening the connection between fans and their favorite films, shows, and actors strengthens the entertainment industry and highlights the award-winning contact celebrated at the Golden Globes.”

Polymarket continues dealmaking frenzy
Barely weeks into the new year, Polymarket has already inked three major partnerships. On Wednesday, it announced a partnership with Dow Jones’ digital platforms, which include The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, and Investor’s Business Daily.
In October, the NHL signed a multi-year deal with Polymarket. The New York Rangers took the relationship one step further Thursday, naming Polymarket its official prediction markets partner. As a result, Polymarket will be highlighted during Rangers games at Madison Square Garden.
Polymarket left the U.S. in 2022 but recently secured the regulatory requirements for re-entry. Last month, the platform started to unblock and grant invitation-only access for U.S. residents.
