FanDuel is stepping up its presence as one of the best Kentucky Derby betting sites by adding new betting options and enhanced event coverage for fans during the 151st Kentucky Derby.

Key Takeaways

  • FanDuel is launching new promos for the 151st Kentucky Derby, including No Sweat Bets and loyalty rewards.
  • The promo is part of FanDuel's commitment to horse racing.
  • FanDuel TV will offer in-depth Derby coverage, including expert analysis and exclusive live events.

With a strategy that began more than two years ago, and has worked for various other campaigns such as March Madness, FanDuel is again streamlining for bettors by merging sports betting and horse racing into one target. By having one wallet and one account, users can place bets on Kentucky Derby odds and sports, which becomes more convenient.

FanDuel also offers a No Sweat First Bet promotion to attract newcomers. If a new user's first bet fails, they will receive racing bonus credit, up to $500. Existing users will have something else available – a No Sweat Win Bet for the Derby, with automatic qualification.

“The Kentucky Derby is one of the most historic sporting events in the world, and FanDuel is honored to be a part of it once again,” said Andrew Moore, general manager of racing at FanDuel. “We’re proud to be the first sportsbook that gives fans the ability to bet on sports and horse racing from a single platform, and we’re excited to use that access to bring new energy and excitement to racing’s biggest day.”

These new Derby promotions are the most recent in FanDuel's history of event-related marketing promotions intended to boost fan engagement and user registration. Earlier promotions have been incentives such as the "$20 Bonus Bet" for major races like the Belmont Stakes and Preakness Stakes.

FanDuel also launched loyalty promotions to its loyal users, rewarding frequent betting during the Triple Crown season. One such promotion, the "Derby Million Dollar Bet," allowed fans to enter a sweepstakes in which choosing the correct Derby trifecta was worth $1 million.

Live race coverage coming to FanDuel TV

FanDuel's television arm, FanDuel TV, is also covering the Kentucky Derby. It offers live coverage directly from Churchill Downs and wall-to-wall programming during Derby Week.

“The Kentucky Derby is a cultural phenomenon on the sports calendar, and we’re thrilled to be back on the ground providing comprehensive coverage fans can’t get anywhere else,” said Michael Shiffman, senior vice president of FanDuel TV. “Our team of experts and insiders will bring the stories, the contenders, and the electric atmosphere of Derby Week to life.”

Adding to the lineup of events created by FanDuel, Emmy-winning sportscaster Kay Adams will host "Up & Adams: at Churchill Downs on May 2. The live-streamed show will be exclusively available on YouTube and will feature celebrity guests and behind-the-scenes content from the Derby.

FanDuel will host its second-ever Kentucky Derby Party at Old Forester's Paristown Hall in Louisville that evening. The event will feature an invitation-only reception and a live performance by country singer Shaboozey.
