DraftKings has launched a new campaign to highlight the personalized experiences players can have on its online casino site.

Titled “Spin Your Way,” the campaign was developed in collaboration with creative studio Tenth Man.

Key Takeaways

  • DraftKings has launched a new campaign titled “Spin Your Way.”

  • The campaign is directed by filmmaker Joseph Kahn and focuses on the ease of casino play through the motion of spinning.

  • The ad will be 30 seconds, and air only in regions where DraftKings Casino is available.

According to DraftKings, the campaign looks at the many ways players can enjoy interacting with its online casino. It is 30 seconds long and will air in markets where DraftKings Casino is available. That includes Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ontario, and Alberta

“We put customers at the center of everything we do and continually evolve DraftKings Casino to make play more personal, engaging and entertaining,” said Christian Bogstrand, Executive Vice President and General Manager of iGaming at DraftKings.

“‘Spin Your Way’ brings the flexibility of our platform to life through bold creative that celebrates the variety of our offerings, and the range of experiences customers can choose from and make their own.”

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Joseph Kahn, the campaign plays on the meaning of “spin” by transforming the regular spin of a slot wheel into physical movement.

Throughout the ad, various characters are seen spinning in everyday settings, from someone attending a yoga class to an astronaut in space. DraftKings says the purpose is to highlight the ease of play it offers and to showcase its wide variety of games and opportunities to earn rewards.

“Our goal with Spin Your Way was to physically express all the internal fun and excitement of playing DraftKings Casino through the physical action of people spinning,” commented Kahn.

“That simple idea influenced everything from transitions and camera moves, to the edit style, visual effects and sound design. The thing that tied it all together for me was the track, it drove the narrative in a way that was effortlessly cool and unexpected.”

DraftKings unveils SkyPicks with Delta

DraftKings has also recently announced the launch of its new sports prediction game, SkyPicks, developed in partnership with Delta Air Lines, and released at the end of July.

SkyPicks requires no real-money wagering and is available on all Delta U.S. domestic flights. Players can access the game by connecting their mobile devices to Delta’s onboard WiFi network using their Delta SkyMiles accounts.

Players can answer a series of sports-prediction questions that test both their knowledge and forecasting skills. Those with the highest scores will become eligible for Delta gift cards.

"At DraftKings, we believe interaction with sports shouldn't begin and end with the game itself - it should extend to every moment fans care about," said Jeremy Elbaum, Chief Commercial Officer at DraftKings.

"As we continue elevating the DraftKings Sports experience, we're also exploring new ways to bring fans closer to the action beyond the traditional settings. Collaborating with Delta gives us the opportunity to reimagine what sports engagement can look like while traveling, bringing innovative ways for fans to stay connected to the games they love - even when they’re in the air."
