DraftKings and ESPN announced Friday that customers will soon be able to link their accounts at the sports betting and news information platforms.

Key Takeaways

  • Customers will receive recommended betting options based on their bracket picks.

  • DraftKings became ESPN’s odds provider in December.

  • DraftKings earlier this week announced a “super app” with casino, sports betting, lottery, and prediction options.

Customers who link their accounts will unlock exclusive features such as the new “Bet Your Bracket,” which allows users to load betting odds for picks they submitted in their bracket at ESPN. DraftKings will also tailor suggested betting markets and odds based on individual brackets.

Users will also receive a free month of ESPN's streaming plan, “ESPN Unlimited.”

“DraftKings and ESPN share a deep passion for sports and a commitment to enhancing how fans engage with the moments that matter most - especially during the pinnacle of the college basketball season,” said Stephanie Sherman, DraftKings’ chief marketing officer. “As we work toward bringing the full DraftKings sports experience together nationwide through our upcoming Super App, DraftKings Sports & Casino, integrating account linking with ESPN is a natural step in creating a more seamless, connected platform for fans.”

It is unknown when account-linking will be enabled, but additional details were promised closer to the launch.

Tailored experience

A point of emphasis was the level of personalization that customers at both platforms will receive.

The announcement added that the “forward-thinking approach” behind the new feature is part of DraftKings’ push for innovation.

“Account linking creates a level of personalization that no one else in the market can match,” said Mike Morrison, vice president of ESPN betting and fantasy. “The Bet Your Bracket feature during March Madness is just the start. Soon fans will be able to seamlessly track upcoming, live and settled bets within the ESPN app and on ESPN.com, and receive bets and timely promotions based on their favorite sports, teams, players, and fantasy rosters.”

Friday’s announcement furthers a pre-existing partnership between DraftKings and ESPN.

It was revealed in November that DraftKings would take over as ESPN’s odds provider the following month. That came after ESPN and PENN Entertainment walked away from their ESPN BET joint venture, leaving PENN to rebrand its sports betting app to theScore Bet.

DraftKings innovating

This has been a busy week for DraftKings. The gambling giant revealed on Monday it is creating a “super app” that contains sports betting, online casino, lottery, and prediction options for customers (in legal jurisdictions). Its fantasy contests will remain separate.

Merging the options into one app is part of the company’s vision to generate $55 billion to $80 billion in gaming revenue by 2030. It reported nearly $2 billion in revenue during Q4 2025, a 43% year-over-year increase.

“Our core business is strong as we enter 2026,” DraftKings CEO Jason Robins said last month.
