It is the first time the "Cash Eruption" brand has appeared on casino floors anywhere. The franchise built its audience through Caesars' digital platforms, which include Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook and Casino, available in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ontario, and West Virginia.
The rollout included an on-property activation at Caesars Atlantic City, where social media personality NJ Slot Guy performed a ceremonial first spin on the new cabinets. A volcano-themed marble racing game was also part of the debut event, giving visitors a chance to win prizes on the spot.
Additional marketing and in-person player experiences connected to the launch of are planned to continue throughout the summer across both New Jersey online casino and land-based channels.
“Expanding the reach of IGT PlayDigital’s top-performing 'Cash Eruption' game into the land-based casino environment with Caesars marks a meaningful milestone that excites players and demonstrates IGT’s agility as an omnichannel content supplier,” Dan Farnon, IGT's SVP of sales, told Covers. “Caesars’ land-based 'Cash Eruption' launch in Atlantic City was met with significant player interest fueled by familiarity with the popular online game.”
The "Cash Eruption" game family has produced notable jackpot results on Caesars' digital side. A $1.24-million payout earlier this year stands as the largest online jackpot in Caesars' company history, and a separate seven-day window in 2025 generated more than $1.1 million in jackpots across titles in the same franchise.

Fertitta Entertainment to acquire Caesars in $17.6B deal
The Atlantic City launch comes at a moment of significant corporate activity for Caesars. Fertitta Entertainment recently announced that it had successfully negotiated a deal to purchase Caesars Entertainment. The all-cash transaction is valued at $17.6 billion, which includes $11.9 billion in existing Caesars debt.
Under the terms, Fertitta will pay $31 per share to Caesars shareholders, which represents a 7.7% premium over where the stock closed the prior trading day. Shares of Caesars climbed roughly 1% on the day the announcement was made.
The agreement contains a go-shop clause running through July 11, allowing Caesars to actively solicit competing offers before any transaction is finalized.
Should the deal close, the combined company would hold 60 casino resorts and gaming properties, a range of online gaming and sports betting products, more than 600 Fertitta-operated locations, and a collection of amusement, entertainment, and aquarium assets.
Tilman Fertitta, a Houston-based figure in real estate and hospitality, has pursued this combination over a sustained period. His Fertitta Entertainment portfolio includes the Landry's restaurant chain and Golden Nugget casino properties, both of which would be folded into the broader Caesars network if the acquisition is completed.
