The Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t just quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ new team – they’re also the market's most popular Super Bowl pick.

The Steelers received the most tickets and highest handle of any frachise to win the Big Game in February 2026 at Hard Rock Bet, according to Yahoo Sports’ Ben Fawkes.

Key takeaways

  • The New York Jets were popular futures picks during Rodgers’ time with the team.
  • The Jets went under their win total in both seasons with Rodgers.
  • Pittsburgh HC Mike Tomlin never had a losing record as an NFL head coach.

Fawkes’ report, shared on X Saturday morning, confirmed what the NFL world already knew: the Steel Curtain is building lots of hype.

According to Hard Rock Bet’s odds at the time of writing, the Steelers are right at the league's halfway point and tied for 16th in odds (+4000) to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Covers currently has the Steelers as 19th, based on all sportsbooks.

Books reported similar faith in the New York Jets during Rodgers’ two seasons there, his first after leaving the Green Bay Packers in 2023. The Jets last season had -150 odds of going over their projected 9.5 win total, though they only went 5-12 en route to a last-place finish in the AFC East.

The Jets were also favored to go Over 9.5 wins in 2023, Rodgers’ first season with the team, although those hopes went spiraling after he tore his Achilles on his fourth Week 1 play.

While Hard Rock Bet doesn't have season projected win totals currently available, FanDuel has Pittsburgh at 8.5 wins with +105 odds on the Over and -125 odds on the Under.

Rodgers primed for success?

The Steelers pursuit of going Over 8.5 wins should be aided by coach Mike Tomlin’s 18-year history, when his team never had a losing season.

Rodgers should be an upgrade over the franchise's quarterback options the last few years, which included Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, Mason Rudolph, Kenny Pickett, and Mitchell Trubisky. Despite being 41 years old, Rogers had 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions and appeared in 17 games last season.

Sportsbooks aren’t ruling out a historic season for Rodgers, who's tied for 20th in odds to win the MVP at FanDuel at +7500.

Tampa Bay Bucs' QB Tom Brady almost won the NFL MVP award in 2021 during his age 44 season, giving credence to Rodgers’ possibility as an MVP candidate.

Rodgers himself beat out Brady for the award that year, the fourth of his career. He received 39 votes to Brady’s 10 and Cooper Kupp’s one.

Week 1 beckons

On top of being +4000 to win the Super Bowl, Hard Rock lists the Steelers at +2000 to win the AFC. That’s sandwiched between the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos (+1500) and Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots (+3000).

The Steelers open their season on the road Sept. 7, fittingly, against the Jets.
