BetMGM customers will see a series of changes to the online sportsbook’s app throughout the upcoming NFL and college football seasons.

Key Takeaways

  • BetMGM is upgrading its technology to create a faster, more stable sportsbook experience.

  • A new “My Bets” feature will put open wagers and cash-out options on the home screen.

  • New NFL and college football tools will include deeper game information, easier SGP editing, and expanded live betting.

The sportsbook, jointly owned by MGM Resorts International and Entain, is rolling out a more modern platform this year, including a new “My Bets” feature on the home screen, quicker ways to place multi-leg wagers, and more in-depth game stats and previews.

BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt says the operator has made “significant” product investments to differentiate itself from other sportsbooks and create a more unique experience across its 31 jurisdictions this season.

“From faster performance and expanded live betting capabilities to new tools that help customers make informed decisions, these enhancements are designed to keep players connected to the action throughout every stage of the game,” Greenblatt said in a release highlighting the upgrading platform.

The operator began developing the new features more than a year ago based on customer feedback. BetMGM says the updated platform will be more stable, with less lag when customers switch between tabs.

“We’ve modernized our trading tech stack. We’ve migrated to a next-gen trading stack, and what that's going to unlock for the player experience is really more seamless bet placement, better market availability, more cash-out capabilities,” BetMGM product management leader Brittany Dunbar recently told Covers during a product demonstration. “Markets are going to be available more. Customers are going to be met with less bet placement delays or bet errors, and we're going to be increasing our cash-out uptime and availability.”

Meeting bet-tracking needs

BetMGM says it is the first major U.S. sportsbook to display open wagers on its home screen, allowing customers to monitor their bets and access cash-out options more quickly. Prediction market operators Kalshi and Polymarket already offer similar functionality.

“Bet tracking is something that we're gonna continue to invest in, and we’re also giving players the availability to bet track on lock screen,” Dunbar said. “Cash-out is something that our players love, but it's buried deep in our product right now, so what we're doing is really taking that up and out and just meeting the user where they’re at with their cash-out offers.”

BetMGM will also provide more information about why a cash-out price has changed, such as after a turnover or score.

Personalized upgrades

The operator is also personalizing the betting experience by putting popular NFL markets on the home screen, giving customers quicker access to the wagers they are most likely to want.

“I'd say what's going to be different, or what customers are going to notice more about the homepage, is that it should feel more catered to what they like and what we know about them and what they like to bet,” Dunbar said.

Player props will also be easier to access and filter within individual NFL game markets, “getting bettors to the player that they want as quick as possible,” Dunbar said.

Another major upgrade is the betslip, which will update odds automatically and make it easier to identify and remove a leg that breaks an SGP. Bettors will also be able to re-bet without leaving the slip.

“What's new for our players this season is we're separating out the leg that is breaking that SGP and essentially giving them the opportunity to delete it and place the good two-leg SGP,” Dunbar said. “What this eventually lays the foundation for is us being able to provide a leg that a player could swap in to keep that three-team SGP good. But we've heard a lot that our betslip is not the best at telling people what's the leg that is breaking my SGP, and then being able to give them like quick edit access so they can get it out and we can get out of their way, and they can get their bet off.”

Other new features

A partnership with gamification and content provider GTG Network will also give users more decision-support tools, including updated line-movement information.

“What we've done is we’ve partnered with them to build out this page experience where we go a little bit deeper into the team-versus-team matchup, position-versus-position, some player-based information, and also expose injury information,” Dunbar said.

Dunbar said BetMGM will offer injury insurance for the first time this season, joining competitors including FanDuel, DraftKings, and Fanatics.

Customers will also be able to toggle between implied probability percentages, a format commonly used by prediction markets, and traditional American odds. Dunbar said that feature’s addition comes directly from player feedback.

College football bettors will also get live-betting same-game parlays for the first time, along with improved cash-out capabilities.

High-value and VIP customers will also get a combined promotions and rewards section, which have already been upgraded on the app. The new “Rewards Hub” will display tier status, promotions, and other benefits across the operator’s ecosystem.

BetMGM plans to roll out all of these features by the midpoint of the NFL season, coinciding with the start of the NBA’s 2026-27 campaign.
