Bryson DeChambeau has been showing us signs of improved play in 2023 and he certainly put it all together at the Greenbrier event.

He shot 61 on Saturday and went even lower on Sunday with a historic final-round 58, slamming the door on his first LIV victory. He now heads to this week's Bedminster event the No. 2 betting favorite behind a usual suspect.

However, we're focusing on a few different names in the field and more in our full LIV Golf Bedminster betting preview below, including golf odds and free golf picks

LIV Golf Bedminster field and favorites

Despite Cam Smith's status as the betting favorite this week, all eyes will be on Bryson DeChambeau as he looks to follow up last week's dominant performance at the Greenbrier.

The victory ends a two-year drought (2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational) and moves his outright odds from +1,400 last week to +1,000 at Bedminster. That places him second on the board behind just Cam Smith at 8/1.

Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka sits third at +1,200 after a poor T38 result last week, followed by Talor Gooch (T7) and Dustin Johnson (T32) at 14/1 apiece.

Defending Bedminster champion Henrik Stenson is available at 35/1. He's posted a couple of quality results of late (T4 in DC, T6 in London) but none better than his victory here a year ago, where he held on to win in what was just LIV's third event.

LIV Golf Bedminster picks and predictions

Cameron Tringale outright winner (+3,000 — 0.63 units)

Cameron Tringale has been consistently knocking on the door of a win on LIV Golf all year. He has yet to finish outside the Top 20 all season and has finished inside the Top 10 in three of his past four events.

One of those Top-10 finishes included his ninth-place performance at LIV Golf D.C. A strong putter on bentgrass greens, Tringale finished 20th in putting average at the Greenbrier, ninth in London, and 19th in D.C.

An excellent greens player, Tringale is tied for third in putting average this season. While Tringale had not yet joined LIV when they went to Bedminster last year, I am confident he will fare well at a course that should complement his game.

Pick: Cameron Tringale outright winner (+3,000 at bet365)

Sebastian Munoz (+3,000 — 0.63 units)

Another guy to target this week at 30/1 is Sebastian Munoz. He did not join LIV Golf until after his struggles during the PGA TOUR’s fall swing, but his impact on LIV has been immediate.

While he has yet to win, he has posted four Top-10 finishes through his first 10 tournaments, including his fourth-place finish in D.C. When Munoz’s putter is on, he thrives on bentgrass greens.

He finished third in putting average at Andalucia and 13th in D.C. If he can get that putter going again this week, then another Top-10 finish is likely, making 30/1 a good number to take a shot on.

Pick: Sebastian Munoz (+3,000 at DraftKings)

Branden Grace (+3,700 — 0.36 units)

Branden Grace is the first guy we are targeting this week who played at Bedminster last year, posting a T13 finish in a solid performance weighed down by a poor second round where he shot 73 (he shot a 70 and 68 in the other two rounds).

Another good performance here could be in-store, especially considering his recent form. Grace has finished inside the Top 10 in three of his past five LIV tournaments, including his runner-up performance in D.C.

A reliable putter on bentgrass greens, Grace finished tied for fifth in putting average at Greenbrier and 13th in D.C.

Pick: Branden Grace (+3,700 at Circa)

Carlos Ortiz (+4,500 — 0.18 units)

The final guy to target in the outright market is Carlos Ortiz. Like Grace, Oritz put together a strong performance at Bedminster last year with a fourth-place finish.

Ortiz is also coming off one of his best performances of the year with last week’s seventh-place finish at Greenbrier, and that was with below-average putting. If he can get that putter to bounce back this week, he should be live at this venue once again.

I am optimistic about this scenario playing out, given that he finished tied for 14th in putting average at Andalucia and seventh in D.C.

Pick: Carlos Ortiz (+4,500 at Circa)

Trump National Golf Club (Bedminster) notes

Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey hosts LIV Golf in its 11th event of the season following last week’s tournament in West Virginia. This course is hosting LIV Golf for the second time as Henrik Stenson won last year’s tournament in his LIV debut.

A Par-72, 7,580-yard track (yardage subject to change) designed by Tom Fazio, this course is going to play very similarly to another Trump National Golf Club in Washington D.C., where LIV Golf D.C. took place in May. Not only are both courses part of the Trump chain of golf clubs but both were designed by Fazio and both feature bentgrass greens.

Recent putting performance will also be key, considering each of the past four LIV tournaments have also been contested on bentgrass greens.
