All eyes will be on Rory McIlroy in the DP World Tour Championship, with the Northern Irishman looking to win his fourth consecutive Race to Dubai title at Jumeirah Golf Estates this week.
My top golf picks are calling for just that, with McIlroy heading into the finale in elite form.
Golf picks for the DP World Tour Championship 2025
- McIlroy to win outright (+400)
- N. Hojgaard to win outright (+2200)
- Schaper Top 20 (+130)
- Reitan Top 20 (-105)
- Noren Under 69.5 Round 1 score (-125)
DP World Tour Championship outright picks
Outright pick: Rory McIlroy
+400 at Fanatics
Rory McIlroy will head to Jumeirah Golf Estates for the 14th time to defend his DP World Tour Championship. He’s won here two other times (2012 and 2015) to go along with another five Top 5s.
Of course, McIlroy is also in tidy form following a T3 finish in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship last week, where he gained true strokes across the board and fired a field-low 62 in the final round.
Finally, I also value McIlroy playing a field-high 52 rounds at Jumeirah Golf Estates leading into the week.
Outright pick: Nicolai Hojgaard
+2200 at Fanatics
The 2023 winner of the DP World Tour Championship also finished T4 in 2021, and he’s coming off a solid T3 finish in Abu Dhabi last week. Nicolai Hojgaard gained true strokes across the board in the event, and he also tops this field in average adjusted true strokes gained at this course.
Hojgaard ranking ninth in this field in true strokes gained tee-to-green and sixth on approach, while leading the way in driving distance over his past 13 events also has my attention. It’s a nice setup with him also checking in at 23rd in true strokes gained putting.
DP World Tour Championship prop picks
Finishing position pick: Jayden Schaper Top 20
+130 at Fanatics
The emerging South African is playing well with three Top 10s across his past five events while gaining true strokes across the board and ranking seventh in this field in tee-to-green play and fourth in driving accuracy.
Jayden Schaper has another six Top 10s on the DP World Tour this season, so I’m anticipating a solid showing at Jumeirah this week given his well-rounded form.
Finishing position pick: Kristoffer Reitan Top 20
-105 at Fanatics
It’s been a sneaky stretch for Kristoffer Reitan. Since winning the Soudal Open in May, he’s picked up another five Top 5s across 15 events.
I particularly value Reitan ranking fifth in this field in true strokes gained off-the-tee and eighth in true strokes gained putting during the 16-event run because he also gained true strokes on approach last week in Abu Dhabi.
DP World Tour Championship first-round pick
Round 1 pick: Alex Noren Under 69.5
-125 at Fanatics
Alex Noren has finished T2 and T9 in his past two trips to Jumeirah, and he’s fired scores of 69 or lower in seven of those eight rounds.
Of course, the Swede also heads to this week’s edition in tidy form. He has a pair of wins on the DP World Tour while gaining true strokes across the board through his past eight events, which includes ranking 10th in this field in true strokes gained tee-to-green and second in true strokes gained putting.
