The FedEx Cup Playoffs are here and a loaded field of PGA Tour stars will hit TPC Southwind for the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee.
While World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite in the FedEx St. Jude Championship odds, I’ve got a handful of players further down the board pinpointed for my top sleeper and longshot golf picks this week to round out my card.
FedEx St. Jude Championship sleeper picks
- Conners to win outright (+4000)
- Clark to win outright (+5500)
- Rai to win outright (+6000)
Picks were made on 8-4 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
FedEx St. Jude Championship sleeper predictions
Sleeper pick to win: Corey Conners
+4000 at FanDuel
The ball-striking king played the weekend at 10-under at The Open to backdoor a T10 finish, and Corey Conners finished the tournament with the highest true strokes gained tee-to-green. Resting since is also a positive because the two-time PGA Tour winner had been battling a wrist injury before The Open.
I expect his tee-to-green play to be among the best in the field this week, so if enough putts fall, the Canadian will make a run at win No. 3.
Sleeper pick to win: Wyndham Clark
+5500 at Caesars
With Wyndham Clark’s game trending in the right direction, this is an attractive price.
He’s bookended his standout T4 at The Open with a T11 at the Scottish Open and a T12 at the 3M Open while ranking ninth in this field in true strokes gained on approach and seventh in putting during the strong stretch.
Clark needs to keep the heater going to continue playing in the playoffs and have a shot at making the American Ryder Cup team, too.
Sleeper pick to win: Aaron Rai
+6000 at FanDuel
Fairways and greens are Aaron Rai’s calling card, and he paced the field in true strokes gained tee-to-green last week to finish T5 at the Wyndham Championship.
He picked up his first PGA Tour win in the 2024 edition of the Wyndham and ranks second in true strokes gained tee-to-green and third on approach across his past two events.
If the putter cooperates, Rai is set for another solid showing in his sixth trip to TPC Southwind.
