Friday 3* Stosur -171 (WTA) h2h domination, Cibulkova simply has no answers for Stosur's kick serve and heavy top spin due to her diminutive status. Cibulkova also nursing an achilles injury so the odds aren't in her favour with this match up.
2* Simon/Raonic over 40.5 -105 Raonic on the verge of the second week in a slam so he'll have some big nerves here. Meanwhile, Simon's finding form at the right moment in this great contrast of styles. Wanted to take the underdog but I'm not sure the Frenchman can hold his own serve enough and fend off the firepower of Raonic to win 3 sets. Should be a very tight contest that I see going the full distance as Simon's due for a 5 set thriller at the French.
1* Schmiedlova +243 (WTA) Ghost of Serena theory. (Trademarked, copyrighted ) Muguruza slayed the beast, automatic fade.

Mugu beat Serena so easily I think the fade goes out the window. Usually when someone beats Serena it's drawn out and physically and mentally draining. Not this time. At all.

Actually the slight majority of Serena's losses over the last few years, back to 2011, are surprisingly in straights. The only long, drawn out, taxing losses were against Azarenka and Zvonareva that I can remember.

you think murray is telling the truth about it being cramps? seems like a hammy to me. if it was just cramps they would've IV'd him last night and he shouldn't have been 'cramping again' after a couple points today.

I will bet the line movement in the Petkovic match... if a large one occurs. She is struggling with a stomach virus and if something is not right I would expect this to move towards evens. And if she is fine I think you could see -200

Murray's most likely not going to give any injury info away. Definitely looked like something was bothering him so maybe a muscle strain or tightness. We'll find out tomorrow!
some quick write ups: Petkovic-Bertens Petkovic had been ill going into the weekend and was fortunate to have enough in the tank to dispatch the spirited run of Mladenovic in an ugly affair. Should be feeling better in this one and her ability to control the baseline play will see her through here against the up and coming Dutchwoman.
Errani-Jankovic Errani just seems to have Jankovic's number and will frustrate the hell out of here in this one. JJ's one of the premier WTA basket cases, very comparable to Nalbandian in that she probably should have had a grand slam win by now but mentally cracks way too often. Jankovics' inability to generate pace against the Italian or consistently attack her weak serve will be the main culprits in yet another Serbian meltdown.
Murray-Verdasco First time clay meeting between the two and Murray with a possible injury concern, but his record aganst left handers aside from Nadal has been ridiculous winning over 90% of those matches. However, Verdasco's troubled him on many occasions with a deciding set needed in 5 of their last 8 meetings. Murray really should have won in 4 sets against Kohlschreiber and that extra effort playing a 5th set, and extra day rest for Verdasco, might be the deciding factor here if Murray is not 100%. Would love to back Murray at these odds with all the stats but given the Scotsman's inability to find a way to consistently perform at a high level on this surface I'll take a chance with the Spanish heart breaker and head case.
Saurez Navarro-Bouchard Feel like this goes similarly to Bouchard's match against Schiavone. CSV will trouble the Canadian with plenty of variety and top spin while putting pressure on Genie's backhand as she has some difficulty with high bouncing balls there. (Insert joke here) If Carla stays aggressive as usual her clay prowess should be too much for Genie in this one as she still lacks clay experience against the top dirtballers on tour.
