2* Djokovic +155 to win French Open Draw is definitely in his favour compared to Rafa who could have to go through Dimitrov, Ferrer, Wawrinka, then Djokovic just to win. The clay god is looking extremely vulnerable this year and looks to be starting his decline so this is probably Novak's best shot at completing his career slam.

I see potential for a darkhorse winner this year. Looking at the draw I think Berdych at +8200 looks promising. Gulbis at +15300 might be worth a shot too... can see one of those 2 winning their quarter.
Or playing Nadal and Djoker at +155 each probably secures positive money.

Definitely a possibility for a darkhorse sparty, might take a stab at one. Next year and a half I think we'll see a couple surprise slam winners as the big boys falter off or focus more on their family lives as Djokovic has stated he will with his upcoming baby.

2* Janowicz/Giraldo +101 Big improvement from JJ last match, looks to
have righted his ship finally. Giraldo's really turned a corner this
year with his new coaching as well.
2* Michon/Monaco/Bellucci/Raonic +151 Three large favourites and a young Frenchman walk into a bar...
2* Vesely -108 All
Czech clash here, Rosol might seem to be in decent form but his clay
scalps this season are quite suspect as they've come against average
players or struggling opposition at the time. (Simon, Nieminen, and
Fognini) Vesely's looking to make his mark as part of the next up and
coming ATP crop and should have the necessary pedigree here to outlast
the ball bashing Rosol.
1* Klizan +385 Extremely tough first
round clash for Nishikori here who was last seen limping and hobbling
before retiring after outplaying Nadal in the Madrid final. Kei always
seems to struggle with injuries at inopportune points in his career so
far and he'll be pressed by the resurgent Klizan who has started the
year well. Not sure Nishikori is really going to be ready or fit for
this one so I like the underdog.
1* Granollers +112 I tend to
prefer backing Dodig as an underdog and fading him as a favourite. His
record at the French is very poor and despite Granollers' mediocre
results on clay so far I like him to grind this one out and really
hinder Dodig's aggression.

Here is a guy who also knows his tennis, fellas: Sean Calvert. If I had been tailing his ATP picks that past year, I'd be a rich man (but his WTA picks are fade material). According to him, Nada's chances are not very good this year, so I'm not sure about backing him at all Sparty.
I'm on Djoker as well Negative, got him at +180 a slow moving book that has Nadal at -110
Sparty, Calvert he also likes RBA at those odds. Here are the links to his articles, including 5 potential first round upsets, including Klizan/Nish (you might want to look at that one Negative and give us you opinion):

He'll only have to play one of Dimi or Ferrer. He will, however, have to play Almagro - likely - in the round preceding an encounter with one of those 2

Weds 2* Youzhny over 20.5 games -111 Youzhy's been a little beat up to start this season but is slowly finding some form. Stepanek continues to play some great tennis in the twilight of his career and always poses a challenge to most players on his best day. He's represented a tough test for the Russian on numerous occasions, and with Youzhny not quite with his A game I see a tight affair here with a great chance of a 4-5 set match.
1* Barthel +180 (WTA) Battle of the potential UE monsters. Coin flip match here with Lisicki offering the better chance of self destructing on clay. She doesn't quite have the patience to succeed on this surface and that lead to her spraying errors from comfortable winning positions in her first round against a weak opponent. Barthel has the firepower to slug it out from the baseline and this match will come down to who can keep their head right.
1* Querrey +159 Essentially 2 hard court players get to battle it out on a fairly fast clay surface. The rain has dampened the courts so the heavier conditions will remove either player's clay prowess which isn't much. Still, Tursunov and the word patience do not go together so that leads me to back the American here despite his recent play...and the Russian as a favourite is a terrifying prospect to back.
Thurs 2* Monaco -144 Call me a sucker for the Argentine, Seppi's been horrid this clay season and even with a win over the in form Giraldo, it was the Columbian who self destructed throughout the match. Monaco's a bit of a mystery coming into this event with very little match play this season but he's healthy and I rate him with the better clay pedigree.
2* Stephens -103 (WTA) Woeful start to the year for Stephens with such big expectations on her shoulders. Based on her recent horrible play she's looking quite underrated here from the books here as she's a big tourney player. Certainly has much more game than she's displayed lately and will have another match against winnable opposition to find her way back to the level she's capable of before she takes on a top player.
1* Young +210 Nice fun match up here against Lopez and a great chance for Young to find his way into the 3rd round. h2h has been extremely tight between the two and with the dampened conditions this should turn into more of a hardcourt match between them. Lopez is heavily reliant on his serve to find his way through matches, and that will be somewhat nullified with the lefty on lefty matchup as he'll play to Young's forehand. It's hard to back him on his weakest surface against the aggressive American here.
