Ernests Gulbis -120 over Haas
I'm Jason Collins for Gulbis! Gulbis has beaten Haas two straight times granted they have been on hard courts but having that mental edge helps especially for a guy like Gulbis. Haas has also played only 1 clay court match all year on the faster clay courts in Houston where he lost to Berankis in a tan match. Gulbis IS A LEGIT TOP 15 PLAYER when he has his head on straight. Haas will have to fade eventually. i love Gulbis here and wouldn't be surprised if Haas tanks and gets ready for Madrid since he also lost doubles yesterday.
Kuznetsova -250 over Oprandi
Kuznetsova is the better player playing on a surface she plays well on. Oprandi is a gatekeeper of a player. The talent level is just different. I hate laying the chalk here but I did it once with her and she came through banking on it again.
Monfils -200 over Brands
Look right now it is time for Monfils to wakeup. He's 26 coming off from an injury. He needs to string together a few good wins to build his confidence. He got a very good win over Melzer. I watched the match and besides a few boneheaded plays he played pretty well. Brands is achallenger circuit player. He has beaten Monfils in the past but I just have a gut feeling here.
Lot of chalk but I don't really like anything tomorrow. Maybe Falla over Seppi as a underdog pick or Hasse over Robredo who looked like poo his last match
