Double up the bankroll every week

1. Starting bankroll: amount you afford to lose.

For me that means 10 Euro (13$). It's the money I spend on cigarettes in one week, so there's no tragedy if I lose them.

 

2. The objective: at the end of one week (7 days) my bankroll has to be 20 Euro (26$).

There are 2 possible outcomes:

    a. I double up the bankroll and reach to 20 Euro

    b. I lose the initial investment (10 Euro), the money for cigarettes for one week. No big deal, but I'll try to focus on option a.

If I manage to double up the bankroll in 3 days (let's say) I will end week 1 and start week 2 with the objective to double up again in 7 days. At any point if I lose all my bankroll my loss is the initial bankroll (10 Euro).

 

3. Strategy: I will pick a limited amount of games to bet on and divide my bankroll in order to achieve my goal for one week. For example I will try to bet 10  times 20% of my bankroll with odds of -200 or 5 times with odds of +100 and so on... I will vary the percentage of bankroll to use on one bet in order to achieve my goal. For example if i reached day 7 and my bankroll is still 10 Euro (initial amount) I will find a bet with 2.00 odds (decimal odds) and bet all my bankroll to try to double up untill day 7 ends.

I could play only one game in a particular week or I could play 20 games. The idea is to pick a good spot and to play as few games as possible.

 

4. Picking the plays: I have absolutely no rule or system to pick my plays. I will try to avoid biases generated by using systems and simply pick the best spots. I will analyse matchups and if decide I found a good spot I take a look at the odds and determine the amount to money to bet on.

I am mostly a soccer better so I will try to bet on leagues and teams that I know. I also play baseball from time to time. I think the playoff games (NHL and NBA) doesn't suite my approach.

 

 

Week 1: 24.04.09 - 01.05.09

Starting bankroll = 10 Euro

 

Bet 1 - 25.04 - Soccer - Romania Divizia A - Rapid Bucuresti to win @ 1.50 - play 2 Euro to win 1 Euro.

Bet #2 - 24.04.09 - Baseball - Los Angeles Angels to win @ 2.05

 

Stake 5.5 Euro to win 5.77

Bad choice with the Angels...I love the Angels and I'm sure they'll make me some money later...

I have half of my bankroll left (5.5 Euro) and I'll push my luck on soccer games today.

 

Soccer - Bulgaria - Slavia Sofia vs. Pirin Blagoevgrad - pick Slavia Sofia to win @ 1.55, it's a game they could easily win.

I'll play half of what's left 2.25 to win 1.23.

Game starts 7 am ET.

Shit, they lost, so I left with half of half of what's left .

I guess I won't buy cigarettes next week. Or ask my wife to buy me cigarettes next week...

Next play: all or nothing.

Play 2.25 Euro to win 1.39 Euro.

 

Bayern lost, so I picked option b.

Now I know: no more cigarettes for one week.

calinreddog, are you familiar with betting the "draw" formula? it's designed for euro football/soccer...i am sure, that you are  fully aware of the value connected to a Draw win; 4.20 plus. I have information to share if interested..the formula used, has been documented at 34-12 for the 09' euro season...best regards
