Can someone tell me if more or less bets are more profitable?

I have read somewhere that 1500-2000 bets per year will make you more money . because if you can hit lets say 53%, than 53% of 2000 bets makes you more than 53% of 500 bets.

Any thoughts?

Depends on what you can hit.
If you hit 60% at 1500 bets, or 53% at 2000 bets, what's better?

are you straight betting or using a money management system? if it's a straight bet and you can hit over 54% then bet more. if you're using a money management system and can recover all or part of your losses then bet less.
