@barneybeans why do you say Spain and Belgium are easy calls? Look at the spreds/line?
Before looking at the lines, just by the state of play in the groups and R32. The eye test.
Doku, Lukaku, and Tielemans can change the game at any moment, Belgium has better experience (Older ) in big tourneys but after losing possession they don't recover that well. That's a worry of mine
The US less experienced but is at home and that carries a ton of weight. another worry of mine.
If the temp is slowed then that totally favors Belgium. Low blocks which is the bread and butter of just about every team's defensive strategy in these tourneys is something USA struggles with, getting the ball in any other way except for crosses. USA may only be able to score on set pieces despite Balogun being allowed to play after the red card.
I feel Belgium knows better how to finish and takes quality shots - more scoring on less chances and this is the only key that sends me a clear message that Belgium will be superior today
Not saying it will be easy but Belgium is the 65%-70% favourite IMNSHO
Also there's chocolate and Waffles, and you can't put a price tag on that
But after all that I bet USA today, cause ya know, FIFA (Page 3 post #51)
The pen is mightier than the pigs
