Tadlodz - understand your point of view - and I have said as much earlier in the thread. I feel like I am paying too much for Portugal, that a lot of good evidence says Denmark - but I am still betting on Portugal.
I dont buy in to 44 year old trends though. They are useless noise to me.
I think France should have a much easier time of things going against Ukraine and the way they play.

vanzacks record speaks for itself.. it is very annoying to me when people come in and question a play, he has a writeup on all his plays. why get in a back n forth? if u dont like the play, then play the other side..
I really dont mind the back and forth - I actually like it. Keeps me sharp.
There are very good opinions on both sides of every game - and I like to make sure I am not missing anything - there is always something to learn.
Plus, it gives me something to do while I wait for kickoff.

Thought about this, and thought about the over 2.5 too..... Im kinda surprised that I can get + odds on the over - so maybe a fun bet on that....
But lets look at the possibilities:
1. Portugal wins. Portugal would be on 3, Denmark on 3, Germany on 3,a nd Neth on 0. In this case - I would think the Neth could play for a draw and assume that Germany would beat Denmark in the final game. Then all the Neth would have to do is beat Portugal and they will control their own desitny.
2. Draw. Denmark would be on 4, Germany on 3, Portugal on 1, and Neth on 0. In this case, because Neth lose a tiebreak with Denmark because of head to head loss - I think they would feel the need to go for it and win. A draw really does nothing for them.
3. Denmark wins. Denmark would be on 6, Germany on 3, Portugal and Neth on 0. This all but eliminates the Dutch if they dont win. Even if they won, they would have to then beat Portugal and hope that Germany either stumbles against an already qualified Denmark or they beat Germany and Denmark in a 3 way goal differential battle.
Since I think the most likely result is a Portugal win, the Dutch might be OK with a draw against Germany. But if either 2 or 3 happen - I will definitely be betting the over....
since your looking for something to do while you wait for kickoff..let me blabber my russia vs greece thoughts and get your opinion if you dont mind..
Off the bat I like Russia and the Over without seeing the lines yet. Greece is in a must win position, which obviously means they will be in full out attack mode. That doesn't exactly mean much because their attacking threats are very poor, but I do think it will leave additional room for Russia to have many scoring opportunities. Russia knows they win the group with a W...they are clearly more talented than Greece..the Greek GK is terrible and I can easily see Russia netting 2 or 3 and then dropping back. Thoughts?
