Disappointed in seeing the AFL and NRL turning into U.S. sport wagering-wise.
It's all about backing the side getting creaming on the money. This round was all about backing against the money. I reckon the Aussie bookmakers have figured it out.
Kings was nice, but the Storm dropping from -5.5 to 3.5 was a sign to back the Sharks yet I couldn't resist at AAMI.
Doesn't matter. Stats and history doesn't matter anymore.
Back against the money flow.

Don't think it has gotten to those levels yet HoH, remember the volume of betting in the Australian codes is insignificant compared to the American sports.
The Storm line drop mostly had to do with Bromwich being ruled out and the fact that the weather forecast was so poor for today's game which meant conditions would probably favor the Sharks a bit more than the Storm. I saw the line as a discount more than anything shady hence the bet on the Storm.

Yeah, I was originally thinking the same way as you on the Storm match. I thought Storm win for sure, but was tempted with the 5.6 head start from the Sharks. No play. Then the line dropped to 3.5 and even with Bromwich out, I thought the odds of a 1-3 point Storm win was low in comparison to 4+, so I bit. Money was 3-to-1 on the Storm.
All the big public teams got beat this weekend in the NRL. The Storm game, in particular, was very frustrating.
I was on Gold Coast $3.00 ML last round against the Warriors. That was a bad beat too. Very vexating. Argh! Hahaha...

Thanks, Rod. I've been here lurking. Been busier than usual this time of year so haven't had the time as in the past to post threads, unfortunately.
I still reckon backing against NRL sides getting all the love money-wise will win out in the end. Even though the Aussie codes have smaller handles than U.S. sport, bookmakers still do not wish to lose or over-expose themselves. I've become very cynical with my wagers recently, although not quite "everything is fixed!" Rostos level yet. HAHAHAHA! :-)
