Yeah betting big dogs historically has been a good play.  So that’s why I’m not doing it!  Making unusual plays to slump bust.  I may check out some of your quarter plays and also dabble in live unders.  GL this evening.  

9-13 (5-4 MAX)

I reached new lows yesterday losing the Dream +4.5 by the hook and the live over. 157.5 by the hook when Sophie missed a late FT.  Did slightly mitigate the evening with a Sky team total under as their offense has looked horrendous against two quality opponents.  Still not sure what to make of the Dream.  Can they win 25-27 games by playing well at home and pulling some road upsets?  

No reason to start overthinking things as that clearly hasn’t worked.  I’m gonna bet like a square tonight and see what happens!

8-11 (4-3 MAX PLAYS), -4.39 units

My sides and pregame selections continue to suck so I’m going to focus on in-game totals which seem to be going better.  Candidly I was shocked when the Wings went toe to toe with the Lynx in the second half after such a dominant second quarter by Minnesota.  And my pregame over in Washington/GS was so bad that even a 57 point Q4 couldn’t get me to within ten points of what I needed!  Interesting swings in the Sparks/Mercury game too.  I’m still thinking over a future angle on those two teams.  Anyways two games tonight for those of us not satisfied with only one NBA playoff game.

IND -4 at Atlanta, 172.5 - This could be fun after the physical game Tuesday.  Could Indiana just start the game hot and take a big lead?  Can Atlanta get stops?  I like these back to backs we occasionally see in the W so will try to watch this one but no pre-game play.  If I had to make a pick I might just take the opposite of what just happened (meaning I’d be on the Fever and the under).  You’ll note that last night the Wings covered and the under hit which is the opposite of what happened when those two teams played last Friday.

NYL -12 at CHI, 164 - Tough home opener for the Sky.  Hard to see them hanging here though I think, like the Storm, they could bounce back offensively in their second game.  Not playing the over just yet though.

MIN has come out strong after halftime both games so far, typical of a team that has played together a while.  So give it a chance here. 

Play 2 - Lynx -2.5 Q3 MAX! 

Yup GL to you too.  I’m still thinking about GS so it’s either them or nothing for me in terms of sides in that game.  My only hang up is they could play quite well for three quarters but have one disastrous quarter at some point that sinks the effort (like last Friday).  Plus I think I’m like 1-4 in sides so far this season!  So you don’t want me jinxing you.  

7-9 (3-2 MAX PLAYS), -2.79 units

Not a great night last night going 2-3 but the MAX bet winner on a live under helped.  Indiana’s defense did not look anything like the new and improved version it’s supposed to be but they can sure score quickly.  In the other game wow the Sun could be in for a long year.  I’m now 0-2 backing them.

DAL at MIN -11.5, 168.5 - These two teams just met and the Lynx ran away with hit in a very high scoring affair.  Do we turn right around and play the under in the rematch?  I’m conserving it though may just follow the game for a better chance with a live line.

LAS at PHX -5.5, 160.5 - No feel for this one though I’m just thinking the Merc may not shoot quite as well as they did last Saturday. 

WAS -4.5 at GS, 161.5 - The Mystics have been high octane offensively so far hitting 90 twice.  Obviously they could stop at some point but I like GA to score better tonight than they did opening night.  Play 1 is the over 161.5.
