No one is going to want to hear this. So close your ears and eyes, and put the kids in another room.
I am using no logic in this game. No amount of theoretical information can be gathered to support taking the Sonics on the moneyline in a game. Seattle has beaten the Pacers 3 out of the last 4 times that they have played at Seattle is the only thing I could come up with. Indiana is on their third road game in 4 nights.
Seattle is playing better lately, having played the Orlando Magic to a standoff in the second half of their last game. The Sonics are in the 2nd game of a 5 game homestand, and they have had ample time to get their act together enough to muster a win against the Pacers.
The Pacers are a jumphooting team as well, but their legs are a little more tired than the Sonics. They have absolutely no down low presence whatsoever, no shotblocker. They also have all of the former Warriors bad players on their squad who have no heart, and take ill advised shots practically all game.
Durant will have his way in this game, and so will Wilcox down low. His minutes should increase with Nick Collison out for a broken nose (although I don't see why he can't play with one). Kurt Thomas should also thrive against the Pacers weak frontline as well.
i will watch the moneyline on this game, as the time to play gets closer, the moneyline may shoot up. If it doesn't go above +130 or so, then i will take the points and pound it like that.
Sonics +2 1.5 units
Sonics Moneyline if over +130
